I don't like the entire 'medieval' genre. That's meant no Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings movies for me.

You should watch them, they're chock full of full frontal nudity. That's why they keep talking about wands this and wands that.

The Caligula sex scenes at the end of every school year kept me going back.

I did eventually see the movies, but I've never read any of the books. I knew Snape kills Dumbledore eons before I ever saw the movie; I don't even remember which movie/book it happens in, but I do remember how I found out...

I don't have much to offer outside the fact I watched Casablanca for the first time in January.

There's a reason this film is considered the GOAT. I'm in awe of how well this movie holds up in every way in 2022.

Some of you are missing out on some really great movies.

I’ve seen pretty much everything listed. Because I like movies. It’s not a big deal, I just like em. Even if I watch something bad, it’s not really time poorly spent, because it’s an activity I enjoy.

Sort of like losing a beer league hockey game. Its the playing that counts.

Maybe if you are proud(?) you haven’t seen a movie most people have it’s simply because you’re not that into movies?

I’ve sort of gone the other way. I own 365 DVD’s of movies I adore so that if I ever need to watch one movie a day for a year, I can have a good film (or at least one I enjoy) every day.

That sounds way crazier typing it out than it does in my head…

Anyway - movies are great. Watch em, you might like em.

Me too. The fact that you got to experience The Godfather Part I and II for the first time makes envious. Truly historic achievements in film making.

Those are the ones I've seen recently, and most have been great.

Godfather Part I I liked quite a bit, but found Part II kinda disappointing after years of hearing it talked about being the best sequel of all time (and specifically being better than I). It was still great, but I preferred Part I.

From that list overall, Cool Hand Luke was probably my favourite. Judgment at Nuremberg was fantastic as well.

Oh and I forgot about GoodFellas too, which I preferred to both Godfather movies.

I will say Vito Corleone's death was kinda ruined for me because of the crappy audio editing.

https://youtu.be/4IRYpjj2_gw?t=65

WTF is with the sequence of clearly looping growls he makes, the stark drop off, and the kid crying? It sounds so bad.

Dobby the house elf is Harry's dad.

Yeah from what you posted Cool Hand Luke was one of my favorites. So many moments stuck with me for years after that one.

Still use “yes boss” pretty regularly day to day.

Vito dies? Spoiler alert? I have never seen the Godfather movies before. Is this going to ruin the movies for me?
