What? Wait....where was I for this one? I definitely didn't know they made that. I can't say why for spoilers, but HOW did they even make that? More to the point, WHY would they even make that?

Hard Core Logo is one of my favorite films of all time. It would be a shame to sully it's legacy by making a stupid sequel.

All I'm getting from this thread is the fact that people need to redefine what the phrase "worst movie ever" means to them. There's no way a film like Reservoir Dogs or Lost in Translation could be the worst movie you've ever seen. Not even close. Try harder.

The Witch

How people can find this scary or entertaining baffles me. The only good part was when the goat talked at the end.

Add in the NE accents and half of the time you can't even understand what is being said, and the other half I was trying to stay awake.

All time, the film that takes home the prize for being the worst movie ever is Avalanche Sharks.

A Canadian horror movie about sharks that swim around in the snow at a ski resort attacking people.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2622826/

Terrible plot, acting, cgi effects.
It's just the worst in every way. So bad you can't even laugh at it, just cringe.

Avalanche Sharks is incredible. The best part is when you catch glimpses of the actors knowing they are making a turd, grinning, then saying their lines with gusto. That scene with the hot tub and snow shark? Masterful. Everyone should watch this movie.

I might get crapped on for this, but I can't stand Ferris Bueller's Day Off . Back when PBS was popular and they played it religiously, whenever me and buddies were watching TV and it came on everyone would get all excited and we just had to watch it.

I can't stand that damn film, it's stupid storyline, and it's stupid characters.

Is that some sort of Saturday special about when the boats in BC take a day off to go hang out on Wreck Beach?

The remake of Point Break is a strong contender for me. It was an environut fan fic that was essentially a Warren Miller film with a plot thinner than you'd find in a b-grade porn flick.

For movies that everyone else liked, I thought Cast Away and Untouchable were both god awful.

I liked Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, but I did return Natural Born Killers to the video store back in the day and ask for a refund.

Yeah NBK is one of those movies fellated by edgy teens but is pretty much insufferable from all fronts. Wastes so many good actors too.

I've watched a lot of terrible movies.

Nothing as bad as This Is the End. My god, it was just a bunch of famous people telling inside jokes at a house party. I turned it off after 20 minutes.

The title of the thread is “worst movie you have ever seen”. I saw little bits of the first one and while it was every bit as bad as I imagined, I can’t say I watched enough of the film to claim I saw it. As for the movies it spawned well I would hope anyone that thought the first was terrible wouldn’t put themselves through the torture of watching sequels. I learned that lesson after watching the first Transformers movie as sequels to bad movies tend to be as bad or worse.

Worst to me is ones that I feel wasted my time completely and I hate. The two movies that come to mind for me are Watchmen and Avatar.

I went in expecting to enjoy them and came out hating them. I still think I should have enjoyed them but, nope, still hate them.

Snyder shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a movie ever again IMO. He's destroyed too many at this point.

Lost in Translation isn't the worst movie I've ever seen, but it is a nice cure for insomnia.

The Room is definitely the meta for arguably the worst movie ever made, but I don't think it would count as mainstream. The only reason why the average person has even heard of it is entirely because of its dubious distinction.

Worst mainstream movie in my opinion is Johnny Mnemonic. Effectively killed Dolph Lundgrens career, and totally exposed Keanu's inability to act. It would have been the kiss of death for Keanu as well if he wasnt fortunate enough to meet the Wachowski brothers(sisters?) a few years later.

I recently watched Justice League on a plane - just terrible. I've heard that this was somehow better than Batman V Superman (which I never saw). How???

If you want to get into the dregs of cinema, it's pretty easy to find lots of movies as bad as The Room.

To really dislike a movie, there needs to be some expectations of quality in the first place. I hated the Force Awakens, even thought it's a competently made movie, because I really wanted to like it, but it contained non of the things that I liked about Star Wars and it all just came across as sanitized, artless, fan service to me.

Hated Ferris as a character - wanted him to get caught. Selfish, lying, manipulative jerk who used his friends and family.
