I think the only noticeable starter that isn't playing is Barrie. The 4th line will likely be Ryan, Shore, Janmark but they'll play 5 mins a night so who cares what garbage they throw on their 4th line.

Oilers have some good forward depth this year, and the gamebreaking ability of McDavid and Draisaitl is always scary. But when you look at D and goaltending there is definitely a soft spot in the armour there. Mindset needs to always be that strong defensive play will lead to breakdowns and leaks in the defence, and shots on net and traffic will pay off.
Can't wait for the Rob Tychkowski article after this one if the Oilers win:
"Delicious Deutschman Draisaitl Steamrolls Lames in Epic 2-1 Win
The post-season success continued for the Oilers when they absolutely dominated the Flames in a heated contest where Woodcroft's coaching prowess was clearly on display.
McDavid was in Gretzky-esque form, assisting on neither goal but doing incredible pirouettes that would put Elvis Stojko to shame.
Also the hot dogs at the Saddledome tasted bad when I went there and red is an ugly color."

Hilarious that this is essentially their starting roster. Outside of those first two forward lines, the rest of that lineup is a complete dumpster fire.

Heading to the game tonight with my wife. I know it's only preseason, but I really hope to see a Flames win tonight. I have not witnessed them winning in Edmonton in person yet. I'd like to feel like I'm not a curse.
