Couldn't believe it when I saw him!

The utterer of the greatest season ending line of the series by far.

"Kill you? Oh no, you're much to valuable to kill Mr. Bauer!"

Soooo good.

These last few episodes are turning into some classic 24. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Drone story arc but this new one with the chinese and russians is turning into a doozy. US on the brink of war and Cheng now going after Audrey, who was the one that put her in a catatonic state before. This is going to be one heck of a finale.

There will be a main character death.

Betting it's a Chloe sacrifice or Heller death, or both.

I hope they don't kill Audrey - then have Jack going on a rampage story again. I have a feeling Heller is the one in the casket.

30 minutes..... I can't wait for this episode of 24. With the days events today, it will be nice to completely unplug for an hour.

Bring on the Jack Bauer Hour of Power!

Silent clock...Edgar from a long time back in the gas attack, then Curtis I believe was the last one, but probably a few I am missing over the years...Renee Walker? Bill?

For those who watched the earlier (7pm) edition, what did they play at the very end before credits?

Usually it's the "Next week on 24" with a preview. Global needs that extra 15 seconds of advertising and always stupidly cuts that off at the 10pm slot.

Clearly something next summer to continue this. Chole and Jack...probably a brand new president (there's no ties to any past ones still alive). Kate probably back and likely I am guessing Marc Boudreau gets off on a technicality and is involved. Jack survived China for a year, as well as being on the run for another 1 or 2, some time in Russia is nothing.

Good season...miss the 24 episodes though, 12 kinda seemed rushed.

That hour was INTENSE.

And really sad. I didn't think they'd go so dark as to off Audrey, Jack's last love interest. What a solemn way to end it.....which leads me to believe that they're not done. No way you tie up the series for real with those sorts of loose ends they left us.

Stupid fake spoiler circulating this week said that Tony's fate would be revealed tonight. I was looking out for that, I thought he might show up at the end or something. Figured it was the Russians, though.

The producers said they would like to come back with more episodes if the network orders another season. They would want to bring it back to Los Angeles, though. I'd love it if they brought the series back to where it began.

Come on Fox, you can't revive it for just 12 episodes!

I can't remember but at the end of the other seasons, when the 24 episodes were done was there a silent clock?

Don't think so. That struck me as odd, yeah. Maybe in case they weren't coming back with more episodes, it was to show that Moscow was going to be Jack's fate..or something. I hope not.

Considering she's the third one they've killed, is it really that surprising?

The season where Palmer was hit by the assassin with the handshake thing ended with a silent clock.

Mandy's asssassination attempt on Palmer
Ryan Chappelle's death
Edgar Stiles' death
Jack leaving Audrey at her dad's house
Jack airlifted out of Sangala
Renee Walker getting buried by Jack and Tony
Bill Buchanan's death
Revelation of Omar Hassan's death
Renee's death
Audrey's death
Jack giving himself up for Chloe

Huh, I always thought season five was one of the best. Seasons 4, 6, and most of 7 were bad ones.

I really liked the 12hr format. It forced them to remove the 3rd, 4th and 5th twists. Maybe 16 would be perfect but 12 was better than 24. Would love to see Kate and chloe bust out jack and fight the Russians one last time.
