Was on last night, haven't watched it yet, will later tonight. Based on a Stephen King novel I think. Hoping it will be good.

It's a CBS production which means it will probably suck. Haven is ridiculously lame.

For the first episode of the pilot, it was pretty darn entertaining. I'm honestly really looking forward to next Weeks show, everyone should check it out.

I really liked the first episode, with them doing only 13 episodes this season hopefully the quality stays up, lots of promise so far.

Pretty closely follows the book, while the acting was ok, the cow wins the best acting award.

I don't know how they can make this a long lasting series unless they add a ton of filler into it.

Loved the book. Looking forward to this show, but it would be so much better if it were being done by HBO/Showtime/AMC...

The producer went to Showtime and they said, "we don't want it, try CBS."

Before even seeing a pilot CBS ordered a season of it. Very uncommon for a "we'll stick with what works" network like CBS, so you knew it was going to be decent. There's enough good people on board that it won't be significantly hampered by being on CBS. They have more money, anyway.

Had it on the pvr. Wasn't thrilled with the commercials but had an hour to waste before bed last night and porn wasn't interesting me for some reason.

Shoulda went with the porn. It already looks cheese filled. Under the Dome that is, not the porn.

I can tell already some of the explanations of the things going on are going to be really stupid. Just too many coincedences and forced tension/action.

And yeah, acting not very good.

What are you talking about?! That jealous boyfriend thing was totally well done...

Yup, looks like it's going to be a cool as Haven...

Oh, and is this the typical Stephen King story? Or at least his more recent ones. Small town middle of nowhere. Same stock characters, young lovers, out of towners, good cop, bad cop, guy with a secret.

Yikes. I know, if I don't like it, don't come to the thread. But it was the premiere and invited discussion. That was my take. If it sucks after the 6th episode I'll be gone and everyone left can enjoy it.

Curious to see what they'll do over the next two episodes. Like Dean Norris so hoping there's something good waiting. But I probably won't end the first season.

He's not even her real bf, just some clingy loser. At least thats what I got from the first scene.

'I love you,'

'Yeah, it was a nice summer.'

Because you have not returned my affections I must go all twisted and stalkerish.

And for a reveal that big, let it simmer, go a few episodes with it. It reaked of cheese. I can't care about him as a good guy or a bad guy or even a spurned stalker cause I don't know him yet. I only know him as bad character with questionable acting skills.

I hope they all run out of air or asphyxiate themselves with car exhaust.

I hope so too but that's not how the magical shield works. Not only is it a complete barrier including radio and possible magnetic and sat signals, (but not sight, cause that wouldnt be fun) but it can kill you if it hears you talking about it.

As I said, I think we're being set up for some suckage.

Between Y the Last Man and Saga - Brian K Vaughn is one of my favourite comic book writers. From what I've heard, Stephen King loved the way he wrote the suck out of his own book

Anyone still watching? The first episode was pretty good, but every episode since has been getting worse and worse...
