Harry Kane has revealed he will not simply stay at Tottenham “for the sake of it” and would consider his Spurs future if the north London club stopped progressing. He has also said that the Premier League season should be scrapped if it cannot be completed by the end of June.
The 26-year-old England captain, contracted until 2024, has previously suggested he could stay with his boyhood club for his entire career but in an Instagram Live chat with Jamie Redknapp he said: “I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs but I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, I’m not someone to stay there for the sake of it.
“I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve, get better and become one of the top, top players. It all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team. So it’s not a definite I’m going to stay there forever, but it’s not a no either.”

Football is at the end of the day a business and whether to hold onto or cash in on assets at prime time is key. I think if Spurs want to get top $ for him now is the time to cash him in if Europe comes calling for him. Same as United and Pogba. Hope United pass on him.

Hes got a lot of mileage on him, a crooked chassis and a dodgy suspension.

Not Premier League but Sunderland 'Til I Die had its second season released on Netflix yesterday.
It is amazing to see what goes on behind the scenes of a football club. Season is only 6 episodes long so I am planning on rationing them lol.

Didn't the team have a better scoring record without him last year than with him?

Sure and we made the CL final without him, so I guess everything was fine. Or maybe we got a couple favourable VAR decisions and a bounce or two and scraped our way past City and Ajax. It's hard to say!

Both his traditional and advanced stats indicate a player in decline.

I'm not saying move him for pennies on the dollar, but if Levy can get the rumoured 200M he wants for him, he should absolutely pull the trigger.

If someone offers 200M for Kane....hell, if someone offers 200M for anyone you take that and run like hell and hope that cheque clears.
It would be lamentable if clubs started splashing that kind of cash in the transfer market while their employees have spent months getting shafted though.

200m for Kane pre-Corona was unrealistic, 200m for Kane post-Corona is laughable. Not going to happen.
the market will have to re-adjust itself. Not a bad thing, to be honest.

I'd honestly take anything over $80M for Kane at this point. Obviously you hope a team like Juventus decides to go bat#### and splash over $100M for him, but $80M would be a good chunk of cash to invest in the rebuild Spurs are going for. At the very least, it would give them the cash they need to buyout the rest of Mourinho's ill-advised contract.

I'd sell Kane for sure. He's clearly declining and the injuries are going to catch up to him. For some reason though, they just refuse to sign another striker. It's really unbelievable. I know it's just the video game mentality in some ways, but how do you not sign someone when Kane gets hurt in January?

The team around him the last 12 months plays a big factor in that
His play for england has still been at the previous level, hes been the best creator on a very talented team
I dont think 200m happens for anyone not named mbappe next few years
But I'd take 75 from a continental club or 100 from united
If we cant get that, keep him for a year, have him bang in 20 goals and then get the number

take 75 from a continental club then please. I feel United have more holes to fill, I wouldn't want them to splash 100 on Kane at this point. If they do pay 100 for a single player (I doubt it) his name better be Sancho.

I guess it should be posted here that the season is now postponed indefinitely. I wonder what the deadline is for them to scrap it one way or another though? Despite people's opinion on how to view that, at some stage they've got to start with a clean slate for 2020-21 somehow.

yeah no idea. I think at this point their best hope is to resume play in empty stadiums in June ... IF that is possible, they could still finish in July and start the new season in late August or early September. Then scratch the League Cup and they should be fine. But really, it's a wait-and-see situation at this point. We'll see what the situation is like in a few weeks and then they'll have to make a decision. Sadly, the man in charge in England is about as competent as a three-year-old child, so I wouldn't get my hopes up too much.
