As long as you don't need the memory for something else, I'd rather it kept as much cached as possible. If you've got it, use it; that'll be faster than re-downloading.
Yup, I've got 32GB so I don't care unless I'm running a bunch of virtual machines. It just illustrates my severe problem with tabs is all.
