I remember hearing about Western being in lockdown a few times during high school. It almost always ended up being their proximity to standard downtown crime.

Haha!! Western was great.

Because the criminals targeted them and left us (St. Mary's) completely alone!

When I was there we got evacuated out the back of a building once because someone had taken a hostage across the street. I'm not sure sending a bunch of high school students outside in that situation was the right choice, but it was a nice day so we enjoyed it.

There was also a bank robbery nearby when I went there.

In the NE at Pearson, we didn't need to worry about danger outside because it was all inside!
