What do guys consider good raid etiquette? I figure leaving at around 20 seconds if it’s clear there aren’t enough people to beat it? 30 seconds?

I feel like 30 seconds is most reasonable. Gives the other people enough time to recognize what is happening and make a decision themselves.
Speaking of etiquette, what are people's thoughts on gift giving? Sometimes I don't have enough gifts to go around, so it is bad form to open a gift up but not send one back? I really hope I'm overthinking this, but I don't want to be rude.

I have a lot of friends and can't always get a lot of gifts in a day. I send to friends with lower friend ratings first so it builds it up. I don't think its rude to open without giving

I'd rather people open their gifts. I have access to tonnes of stops so I don't need any back and like to hand out resources as much as I can.
The thing I feel bad about is I miss a lot of raid invites when my phone isn't on me. Sorry, but I appreciate the invites and will join any I can.
I have 9 gyms in visual range but they rarely have people raiding them during raid hour. Generally I don't remote invite people unless there are other people waiting in the raids lobby already (so minimize the chance of inviting but not having enough to complete it). Do people want me to send them invites anyways? If so, let me know your in-game names and I can prioritize who to send invites to.

I just got my weekly reward for last week. I hit 100km and the reward was 30,000 stardust instead of 16,000. This might be the time to rack up the Sync rewards.

Has anyone else found it a lot easier to make excellent throws lately? I've made atheist 20 a day for the past little while. Have they just made it easier or have I just figured it out lol

I’m definitely getting better at it but I feel it was made easier.
My struggle is trying to catch a shadow Scyther using curveballs.

The next Richard Dawkins?
Anyways,
We might all be aiming for excellent throws now because of the huge xp increase in their rewards.
A lot of the pokemon present right now are very easy to get excellent throws on (snover, spheal, stantler, snorunt, snorlax to name a few. Coincidentally, they all start with the letter "s").

Already missing the double catch XP lol was fun while it lasted! I’m happy the holiday event is over now though, I thought this last batch of Pokémon was super boring.

Had a solid year of Pokemon Go. Been playing pretty hard since the start and am looking forward to slowing down a bit this year, as we expect a baby girl! Going to try hit Level 50 first, obviously. My main goal this year was to hit the top rank in every season of Go Battle League and I was able to do that.
Anyway, 2020 stats:
43,241,138 XP
59,866 Pokemon caught
27,786 Pokestops spun
2,119 km walked
911 raids
2,743 Great league battles won
1,191 Ultra league battles won
1,063 Master league battles won

very impressive nice job! the battles are the last part of the game I haven't really dipped my toes in as much. What is the biggest benefit to doing them?

I really like the competitive aspect of it and the Stardust rewards are insane.
I have earned 9.1 million stardust from Go Battle league
