Not really, send Cecil the fee (lol) and then pick the top 10 every race and I'll keep track of the standings. Try to get them in before midnight Friday...wanted to add a little intrigue instead of just picking the qualifying order.
Good luck!!

Send the $500 to me and I'll confirm them...lol. There's no fee...just for fun.
Next year I'll see if my Toro Rosso buddy will get us a prize. May be able to get one for this year (if the winner is a size medium, lol).
And reminder to everyone to get your BAHRAIN picks in soon...

We can just piece together two medium jackets if I win, no big deal.

Renault really struggled there. Hulkenberg especially was a disappointment. That said, it was good to see that Mercedes is going to have some competition. Those Ferrari cars were soaring.
On a personal note, I am happy that Haas is giving themselves a good start again. At the Pace red bull is going Haas might actually be competition for them.

Yeah, just watched qualifying as well Renault and Hulk were not good at all. I didnt see or hear anything about traffic for them, but after P2 yesterday I thought Hulkenberg would at least make Q2. I wonder if Renault just didn't turn up the engines enough? Ricciardo was 0.5s faster in Q2 vs Q1 and even that is still 0.5s behind Norris in Q3.
Agreed on the midfield really tightening. McLaren and Haas both looked really good this qualifying and Red Bull looked slow (apparently their chassis has issues working with the new tires). Two tenths covers 5th to 10th with RB/Haas/McLaren/Alfa all in the mix.
I'm liking Leclerc more every time I watch him race. Just a cool cat.
Excited for the race tomorrow!

Leclerc pole and lap record? Good for him. That’s unexpected.
Both McLarens top 10. Kills me that Alonso retired. He’d be fighting for a top 5 spot in that car. With all due respect to Norris and Sainz but they aren’t Alonso.
I knew Renault wouldn’t be challenging for a title but I’m surprised how much they’ve struggled, especially since McLaren are using Renault power and seem to be doing well.
Thought Toro Rosso would do better.
Despite what Horner said in FP2 I bet Gasly is replaced before the halfway point of the season if he struggles like this. It’d be awesome if it was Kvyat who went back to RBR...yet again.

I wonder if they're having the same chassis/tire operating temp issues as RBR?? I'm not sure what happened to Gasly. He got let down by the team in Australia qualifying, but he has not been sharp all weekend so far. Thats a big blow to RBR if they have to replace him. Maybe they'll bring in Alonso

Tsn is showing the F2 races for the first time I can remember. I don’t follow it at all but I taped the race from last night and it appears they do 2 races because there’s another one scheduled for tonight.
Getting a bit more attention because Mick Schumacher is racing in F2 this year.

Nice to see someone other than a Merc in the front row. Both McLaren's in the top 10 makes be extremely happy as well. Disappointed about Riccairdo. Hopefully this is early season hiccups and not indicative of how his season will go.
Hope Red Bull can step up their game as well. If both them and Haas could compete with Ferrari and Mercedes for some wins this will be a hell of a year. But first impressions of Gasly in the Red Bull are.... meh

Here's everyone's picks...Fuzz and 3Thirty didn't submit picks so I just used their Australian ones. I can do that going forward in case people forget a week/holidays etc. If you miss 3 though...you're cut...lol.
KelV + Jepworth looking good this round...until tomorrow anyways!
Rankings include results based on qualifying. Let me know if I made a mistake. I also added in the Fastest Lap point...but only Jepworth has Leclerc winning.

Are their points for guessing qualifying or is that just a mock up? Because if it's for points, I got Raikkonen right too
Thanks for doing this, should be a lot of fun this year. Not sure I even came into this thread last year, had no idea what I was missing

Thanks...that'll teach me for doing it on a Mac! Points only for the actual race. Just figured people may like to see a "live update" and to make sure I've got entries right.
Assuming I can spell the drivers names right, it should all update automatically so doesn't take much time. I updated the original post...and double checked the other entries.
This is our first year...for some reason there is WAYYYY more interest in F1 this year. Even sportscar racing has a thread with Baron von Kriterium posting updates.
