That's the spirit!
The table has been set for a Spurs loss in every single round thus far. I guess the only one we came through comfortably was Dortmund, but other than that it's been one escape act after another. We barely survived the group stages, and then the last minute VAR savior against City. Those two are insane, and that's not even touching on Ajax and the incredulity of the 95th minute, last kick winner. I don't think it's melting to suggest that no Spurs fan anywhere saw that coming. I am not ashamed to say that I figured it was done at 2-0 at the half of that one.

That's why I think this one is set up to be a soul-crushing defeat. They've done all they can to make us fans believe in them. We're ripe for a solid kick to the groin.

Well both teams are, really. Liverpool cut it pretty close to get out of the group as well, and of course 3-0 in the first leg against Barcelona looked less than promising as well. I know they've been more consistent in the league this year, and they should be favoured for tomorrow, which is all the more reason that a loss tomorrow is a true kick in the groin.

Really the only fitting result for these two teams recent histories would be that they go 50 rounds of PKs with neither team able to score. Then they say screw it and just award the championship to no one.

Really sad news out of Spain: Jose Antonio Reyes has been killed in a traffic accident. Really good player in his prime, used to play for Sevilla, Arsenal, Atletico, Real and Benfica.
Only 35 ... terrible.

It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that the single largest annual sporting event in the world isn’t going to be on tv.
Are Dazn’s ratings made public? I can’t imagine anything other than hardcore fans are paying $20 a month for a specialty channel.

And for anyone wondering Dazn offers a 30 day trial so you can watch today for free.
But be careful they don’t let you cancel right away because apparently it takes time to process your subscription (lol).

Hahah wasn’t I arguing with you about PSG’s penalty? This was more clear than that one, sucks when the shoe is on the other foot.

I inexplicably loathe Kieran Trippier.
It could be because of his dudebro haircut or his punchable face or because his name is Kieran, I dont know what it is but I just dont like him.
He is inherently unlikable.

brace yourselves for the next few years when attackers inevitably try to just hit the defender's arm instead of really getting it into the box.

Keep your arm against your body and it’s not an issue. Not really sure why Sissoko had his arm high and out there.

They've been doing that for years already.
Really, the problem with Sissoko there was the initial touch was fine, it looks like it came off his chest, but then it ricochets onto his outstretched arm.
Arm in an unnatural position + ball = penalty.
Now my opinion would be, because its effectively a rebound thats an accident and shouldnt be a penalty, but clearly an Englishman wrote the rule book.
