It's Ted Cruz. I'm pretty sure his total disregard for his constituents is cemented at this point. If I was lacking power and my roof was caved in the last thing I'd want to see is this fake grandstander strolling up my street for a photo op.

Now the challenge is -- in spite of all that -- explaining why most people would still rather vote for him than a Democratic Party candidate. That's the thing the Dems need to figure out and fast.

He could be be like Beto, who has: organized phone banks to call on seniors to see if they have power and food and direct them to warning centers; visited warming centers and handled out blankets and food; and been a generally decent human being through this mess.

I hope my freezing friends in Midland who voted for Cruz are happy with their vote. At least they can burn their guns to stay warm...

I do know that Cuomo was getting a ton of press at the start of Covid and a lot of very friendly press I may add. He was on CNN constantly getting his stock pumped up by his brother about the amazing job they were doing in NY with this whole thing and how the federal government response was a disaster. I do think Trump's response was a gong show but blame goes all around.

There was a segment perhaps around June? Chris was interviewing Andrew on CNN and they both kept raving about how history will remember how well NY climbed the Covid mountain and all the wonderful things that had occurred and the perseverance's. I just know a lot of people in the press and friends of mine in NY just had a look of "What?? What is he talking about? Why is CNN allowing this freakshow? Cause it makes Trump look bad?

It was almost as if NY wasn't the center of the Covid nightmare in America and that somehow the Governor saved everybody. It was hard to watch and even veteran reporters said it was very strange that CNN, Chris and everybody was trying to rewrite history.

In any event, this "Killer Cuomo" situation where there were a ton of deaths in nursing homes that were 100% a result of the policy put in place by the Governor seems to have some legs from some of the reporting. For a long time it was thought to be some right wing, Fox News hot garbage to make to Democrats look bad.

From recent reporting it sounds like there is a lot of garbage that happened and that people are going to want some answers.

CNN is a tabloid posing as a news source and milked the Cuomo situation as much as it possibly could. They used to have some credibility when they came to fame during the Gulf War, but their bias has really undermined their reporting in the past 5 years.

I was watching when Cuomo's brother Chris got covid, the Cuomo interviews, even bought in to the hype and started watching all their interviews. They were the world's darlings for a few months at the onset.

Even Fox News tried to stay clear of the darling brothers at the time, until Chris Cuomo was caught violating quarantine, and afterwards got this made for CNN media dramatic emergence proved as a sham.

The nursing home stories were definitely there, but was being buried by the MSM. Fox News is the only place to call it out, but again was pushed as some right-wing rhetoric garbage.

Partisanship and ideology can blind the weak to atrocities and incompetence. Texas is kind of special in that regard.

Gun control is one of those ideologies that Texas will simply not give in to and they would likely vote for an awful human being in Ted Cruz, versus Jesus himself if he turned out to be a Democrat.

I don't think Democrats need to pander to Texans to save themselves. They can choose normalcy, or they can choose the guy traveling from Cancun to avoid a state emergency with a patriotic Texas mask

This isn't true. It was being reported on Rising as well as some independent progressive media outlets. The centrist/establishment outlets such as CNN, MSNBC, etc., were definitely trying to bury it though.
