great to see Brighton get off the schneid with a couple of wins ... first against Southampton, now against Newcastle. Their xG "luck" has simply been ridiculous this season and they are way too good of a team to be in the relegation battle.
sucks for Brucie though, that's got to be the end for him surely.

It is good to see some justice for Brighton. Nice team, good to watch, should be sitting mid-table.

Gonna be quite the battle for the Ballon D'Or between Gundogan and Lingardinho.

said it before. Lingard and cash to West Ham, Rice to United. Everybody wins (kinda )
but first and foremost I'm happy for him that the loan is working out like that.

There's no way Man U gets Rice without Lingard + an absolute mountain of cash.

yeah, I said "Lingard and cash", didn't I? doubt it'd happen anyway, but one is allowed to dream lol
Soucek has been such a great signing too. West Ham really have done some solid work lately.

I mean there's also the possibility United bring Lingard back into the fold. Still need better depth and he costs nothing other than contract money.

Blowing a 3 goal lead in a London derby doesn’t portend good things, take it from me!

So Nicky Butt is leaving United after a decade in various development roles with the club.
This is on the heels of Fletcher's promotion to technical director. This is eerily similar to his first time leaving, as a player.

Turns out, it was the other recent appointee...
From the Athletic;

Quote:
According to sources, Butt and Murtough were like chalk and cheese, coming at football from different perspectives. Butt’s vision is based on a glittering playing career, much of it with United and also England. Murtough’s knowledge comes from years as an administrator. Friction had built up in recent months as Murtough increased his influence at United and when the recent restructuring announcements arrived, Butt made his decision.
When they were level colleagues, compromises were possible for the sake of the club. However, it is understood Butt could not countenance Murtough effectively becoming his line manager.

Even more to this. The two of them, almost a came to blows six months ago.

Quote:
Since then, Football Insider has claimed that Butt had been involved in ‘an astonishing training ground bust-up’ with Murtough, who was made the club’s new football director earlier this month.
There was ‘a verbal exchange that was said by witnesses to be explosive’ at the Man Utd training complex around six months ago.
A source told Football Insider that the pair were ‘nose to nose’ and that they shouted ‘four-letter insults’ as they ‘nearly came to blows’.
The report describes Butt and Murtough’s relationship as ‘fractious’ with one source saying: “John was lucky it did not come to blows as Butty would have killed him, he was ready to really go for him.”
