Tuxedo and Adrenalin give discounts for Quadrant players - not sure what they do for community players.

It looks like Tuxedo offers discounts to at least some community associations. For example, the McKnight website says "all McKnight players get 10% discount on all regular priced hockey purchases, all year, except skates."
Trails West has something similar for Adrenaline.
I have found PHL to be pretty stingy when it comes to sales and discounts.

I'm 1 for 1 when asking for a price match if that counts for anything.

i am assuming that everyone has now completed their evaluations and are on teams.
what is your thought on the team your child is on - feeling good, expected, dissapointed?

Atom AA (no AAA in Atom here in NB) for my son. It is going to be a long year. Should only be one AA team and they made 2. It is very watered down.
Had our first practice this morning (ugh 6am practices, kills me but he would get up and go to the rink everyday at 6am) and Will was told to pass it softer and dont shoot so hard. Frustrated both him and I.
Now i do recognize that it is always tough when you are a returning second year player. Its always better to the the chaser than the chasee.
The plus is he has his best friend on the team so i'm sure he will have a fun year regardless.

Pee Wee 4. He could have done better, but he's a terrible looking skater. I like our head coach, he has a few friends on the team. Hope it's a good year.

Placed in Novice Major 1. I'm a bit nervous for him as he's got the skills but not the competitive spirit like many of the others at that level. I am quite proud of him though as he is one of the few that jumped from N4 last year.
So far the team seems great. The kids have been very coachable to his point.

Pee Wee 3. Happy with the results but still just hate evaluations.

There is no such thing as Atom AA in Alberta either. There is an Atom AA classification for provincials (based on registered kids in a level of play), but during season play there is Tier/Div 1 and that's it.

First year of Midget AA for my son in the US before high school season starts. He was having a great first tournament, leading the tournament in points and then in first period of championship game, he took a bad hit without the puck. First time in organized hockey he hasn’t gotten up and skated to bench. Injured his shoulder though not totally dislocated. He has been rehabbing for about 3 weeks. Other player was ejected.
Both surprised and disappointed with how chippy midget hockey has been. Not going back until he is 100% obviously.

I'm curious as to what age group(s) you are referring to. Bantam and Midget the last couple of years has been very good and the results have been as well.

My son made the lowest level team in Atom, which was kinda expected. He didn't start playing until Novice.
Should have a shot to lead his team in scoring though!

My son made his associations atom 6 team. I felt that it was a bit too low but gives him a chance to be a leader on the team which would be a change of pace for him. now 2 games in and he has 6 goals and 3 assists and is looking dominant out there. plus he has a good team so this is shaping up to be a great year.
