Are you looking for a flower vape? Or liquid (concentrate)? Some do both.

Get a 4 stage grinder that collects your keif that you can use for later.

To be honest, alibaba is probably a fraction of the price and half the stuff comes from there anyway.
Buying a fake vape off alibaba (or a G-Pen, for that matter) is a good way to ensure you get to inhale the offgassing of non-certified plastics with every hoot. Counterfeit vapes are garbage. Buy a good one and be able to rely upon it rather than rolling the dice by buying stuff that shouldn't be used at the temperatures they are generating. This goes double for chinese glass for bongs and stuff like that. It has been found that a lot of chinese glassware for smoking/vaping has leaded glass in it. Might as well not even vape and just smoke if you're actually concerned about your health.

I had a Zeus vaporizer which was a great little entry level model. 3 preset heat settings and easy to use. I upgraded to a DaVinci Ascent great battery life, all glass pathway and amazing temperature control well worth the money just for the smoothness.

Oh and it’s a tax deductible medical device

Interesting. I'm curious where the lead in the glass comes from. Paint?

How are the vapes themselves tested?

Good info to know though.

The lead can simply be from using glass with a high lead oxide content which makes the glass sparkle more due to higher light refraction. They know it is poisonous and they use it so their glass pieces photograph nicer.

Vapes are generally not tested by an outside authority but the ones that are reputable manufacturers use plastic types that are food safe and are designed to withstand higher temperatures. I will say that Arizer, a Canadian vape maker, is probably your best bet for a vape. I have used an Arizer Air for more than three years and it is reliable with very little cleaning of the actual vape involved. Clean the glass stems whenever they bug you but use a screen to keep crumbs out of the neck.

The F--kCombustion forum has a tear-down of a fake S&B Mighty vape and the thing looks downright dangerous. Cut corners on things like high-temp plastic, heat-wrap around heater cores, cheap batteries, etc.

I spent $300 on my DaVinci IQ and it was well worth it, IMHO.

I found a Firefly 2 on sale for $320 and with a coupon it ended up being $270.

Green Leaf beside McDonalds in Deer Run is open now. No line, either. Just walk in, purchase, and walk out.

The Arizer Solo is a good one. Not as sexy looking as a Pax, but better temperature control if you want to adjust for THC or CBD combustion. And it is Canadian made.

This. I did the relatively cheap ($100) vape thing at first, but the thing stunk more than a vape should, and it breaks so easy. Finally just went all-in and got the IQ. Harder on the pocketbook, but well worth it for quality and lack of smell in the end (if you clean it regularly anyway).

Also, does anyone know how to tell when a new store is open? I find this whole process so arbitrary and chaotic. Google has proven fairly useless, at least for me.
