Was Graham DeLaet making a return this season?

I think he plans to. Last I heard he was getting stem cell injections for his back and it’s been a slower recovery than thought

Canadian Corey Conners is in first place after his round today

Hadwin has been playing well with back to back top tens coming into his championship defense this week.

Glad to see a Canadian leading the pack heading into day 2. He was finished so early I figured at least a couple guys would pass, but he's still up one shot.

Tiger goes on a birdie binge and finishes his round tied for the lead. Lots of guys still to come though including 1st rd leader Conners.

It sure would be awesome for golf if he could come back and be a player in the majors once again.

Conners comes out on fire in todays round with 3 birdies in the first 4 holes to lead by 3.

Tiger playing well though he just blocked a tee shot way left.

Conners finishes one shot ahead. One shot back are Woods, Rose and Snedeker.

Will be interesting to see the final round tomorrow.

I wonder how many Canadians would even bother with this tourney if:

A) A Canadian wasn't in contention
B) Tiger wasn't playing period

I hate to admit it but Tiger Woods playing well again makes me think about the PGA tour far more than an un-known Canadian in contention. huge bonus that we have both tomorrow.

Golf wins in Canada if Connors wins, Golf wins overall if Tiger wins.

Watched some of round today and can't believe how well Woods is playing. It looks as if his latest back operation was a huge success. He doesn't appear to be in pain anymore.

So Conners has completely yacked his final round. Started as leader and is now 6 shots back. Not unexpected for a guy that inexperienced at this level.

Tiger hanging though. Doubt he gets to -10 where Casey sits already.

May still get a playoff though.

Edit: Really diggin' that shirt Tiger is wearing today

Tiger just made a great putt on 17 to pull within a stroke of the leader.

Patrick Reed just cost himself a chance to win.

Golf is so much more exciting with Tiger competing for wins. You can feel a little bit of that extreme fandom that the PGA tour used to have because of Tiger, today.

Yup. When Tiger is in contention it’s so much more fun to watch for me.

Phil winning last week was great to watch as well.

I read something to the effect that phil went something like 1,687 between wins, and next sunday will mark the same number of days since tiger's last win.

given tiger's past successes at bay hill it seems easy to get caught up in the potential of his streak ending

Just to emphasize what Tiger means to golf.

Sundays final round drew a 5.1 share. More than all of last years majors other than the Masters.

Still though, he's trending towards a win in the coming tournaments, imo. Good to see Rory take one home.

About the same or even more than stanley cup finals on NBC?

The appeal that Tiger still has, even with me admittedly, is strange. He hasnt been an outgoing and charasmatic figure in years. Hasnt shown sustained excellence in the game in over 5 years, and his public persona is actually pretty annoying. I guess viewers tune in to him, hoping he magically returns to his form from the 2000s when he was basically doing what Mcilroy did today on a good number of the tournaments he played.

Almost double....the avg. for NBC last year in the finals was 2.7
