I’m not trying to make an excuse as they should’ve had this game easily, however better teams lose to the crappier teams frequently. Hot goaltender + not capitalizing on your chances + other teams capitalizing on every chance = loss. Still tied for first in the division and they went into the break hot last year and it killed momentum, maybe going into the break losing 2/3 (would be 3L’s if it wasn’t for god-mode Rittich) will have the opposite effect this year. Really need Tre to find some scoring help.

Flames have a real problem in the last few years showing respect to teams they feel are “beneath” them. They come out in cruise control and get risky and pay for it. Ala Avalanche series last year that everyone and probably the team as well we’re looking past onto the next series.
Gotta come out full throttle every night. Yes we dominated the shots. We did not come even close to dominating the effort.

I had to go pick up my kids half way through the third period I had the choice between wearing my flames toque or freezing my ears off I chose to freeze my ears off it was the right choice
The current top-2 lines aren't cutting it. Don't know why Ward keeps going back to them again and again, waiting for us to fall behind and then shuffles them and we see some life.
Even in the games that we've won, the starting top-6 configuration hasn't been the reason.
Calgary has four times the talent of the Senators.
Senators are twice the team Calgary is.
