I don't think you can blame Hamonic for that. That's just bad luck.
It happens to him far more often than it should. Just like the good old Sam Bennett "waved off goal, phantom penalty" or Mikael Backlund "miss the open net."
Honestly it's not that crazy. They're both bottom pairing defencemen, but at least Kris is a good skater. Kris's contract is worse though, so Hamonic has that going for him.

At some point it stops becoming bad luck.
As a D man you should never reach to tip at a puck right in front of your goalie, you see those go in quite often. Let your goalie track it.

Coaches say just the opposite. They want a stick on every shot, and will take the odd bad bounce. Hamonic tips a lot of shots away, maybe more than anyone else. It goes unnoticed.

Can’t argue with Wards record but man it would be nice to see this team look prepared from the drop of the puck and bury a team in the first period.
