Default Saturday Jan 18th 2020 - 11 games

I wanted to discuss how epic today will be for Pacific Division positioning but won't be awake when the games start.

First at 1pm MST it's Arizona @ Edmonton (SN1, SNE, SNO, SNP, FS-A plus)

Then at 5pm MST we have Vegas @ Montreal (TVAS, City, SNE, ATTSN-RM)

Finally at 8pm MST it's San Jose @ Vancouver (CBC, SN, SN360, SN1, City, NBCSCA)

Depending on how the results go there could be 4 different teams holding 1st in the Pacific at some point during the day! If the Flames win and OOT results go their way there will be some space at the top. If they lose and the results do not go their way it could mean a drop from 1st to 5th. Crazy!

Other games (all MST):

Washington @ NY Islanders 11am
St Louis @ Colorado 1pm
Chicago @ Toronto 5pm
Florida @ Detroit 5pm
LA @ Philadelphia 5pm
NJ @ Columbus 5pm
Buffalo @ Nashville 6pm
Dallas @ Minnesota 7pm

It really is nuts how close the western conf. standings are, like you said, the Flames could fall to 5th in the division and 8th in the conference. The Blues-Avs is a big western game. Let's hope the Oilers lose and they'll be the 8th place bullseye for the Wild, Predators and Bhawks who are chasing down the last playoff spot.

The eastern conf. is also tightening up and should the Leafs lose in reg time, they could fall to 10th place. Go BJs, Flyers, and Panthers.

Ovi wastes no time matching Mario’s record of 690 scoring his 32nd of the year.

Of course Mario did it in about 200 fewer games.

Just can’t hit anymore. Clean hit from Wilson wasn’t even that bad and you get two guys going after him. At least the refs got the call right.

Ovechkin has been better in the second half of the season for the last few years. Has a good chance of catching or passing Mike Gartner’s 708 goals this season.

The coyotes are hot garbage. They’re probably going to be the team that falls off in the pacific. That Keumper injury really is showing it’s teeth.

It was noted a while back that they were riding unsustainable goaltending.

Not a believer in the Coyotes myself. Seems too easy to shut their offense down.

I think they will fall out.

Reminds me of another pacific team at the top of the standings.

Ehhhh Flames goaltending has been good but really hasn't stolen that many games IMO.

I think EDM's goaltending is much more inconsistent than CGY's. Guess we'll see.

Certainly not the Flames who's goaltending has been largely average relative to the rest of the league.

Yeah, the Oilers, though you're mistaken they're not even close to the top of the pacific.
