Seeing on twitter that Treyvon Hester of the Eagles managed to tip the kick, so not entirely Parkey's fault.

There’s a video on Instagram of Parkey practicing kicking from 2 years ago.

How did he practice? By aiming at a big light pole and hitting it. He was preparing himself for this moment apparently. (Don’t know if legit).

Heard his interview after and really respect how he handled it.

Is legit. Makes sense: if there aren't uprights, use a pole to gauge how straight your kick is. Turned out to be massively ironic.

I have suspected him very high on the Packers list long before MM was even gassed. I think this happens.

Oh this again? McDaniels is gonna be a Patriot for life; even if he signs the dotted line. They'll find a way to get him to head back to New England.

I assumed last year that he stayed with the Pats because they promised he would be Belichick's successor but it seems like the guy is simply a bigger flake than I thought.

As we see with the Colts the best thing that could ever happen to a team is to have McDaniels accept their job and flake out. Worst thing that can happen is he accepts the job and stays. And it is pretty amazing that teams are seriously interested less than one year after his flake out, especially in a year the Pats offense wasn't that good (relatively speaking). Probably rather have Kingsbury as my head coach.

The next time a Belichick disciple is successful on his own will be the first time. Maybe because I cheer for an AFC West fan I remember better as the guy was a real idiot in Denver. The Bill Belichick "I'm smarter than everyone else" act only works when you are in fact smarter than everyone else.

Lifelong Chargers fan living in Toronto and I think I'm making the trip to Foxborough. I've only ever attended games at the Ralph and my life is usually threatened by the end of the Chargers blowing them out, will keep a low profile this time haha

Parkey might become biggest Chicago scapegoat since Bartman.

Which is kind of funny when you consider Parkey put up more points than the entire Bears offense.

Also, officially ruled a block.

Yeah, die hard Bears fans are likely the only ones paying close enough attention to forgive him in hindsight, given that it was tipped. Everyone else will only remember the shot of it hitting the upright. Not a miss, just a good defensive play.
