In case anyone thought that Salah was the divingest diver that ever dived, those last few weren't dives because the ref gave the penalty. That's the position of Klopp, and apparently Liverpool doesn't have players who dive?

Klopp is full of #### on this one.
But let’s face it, all of our teams have players that dive. In soccer, it doesn’t matter how much you embarrass yourself as long as you win.

I know it’s Cardiff, but good lord they look disjointed. I have no idea what they’re doing back there, and seemingly neither do they!

At least we're all on the same page...

Pulisic to Chelsea for £57.6 million, move happens in the summer. Maybe it's me but that seems like a hefty overpayment, I realize you have to factor in the US commercial side of things, but he was benched by Sancho. Decent indicator that Hazard is off in the summer though.

it is a hefty overpayment, yeah. Pulisic has been pretty bad for a while, fans think he has checked out mentally. Dortmund will probably replace him with the cheaper and better Thorgan Hazard ... great business by them.
Chelsea buying Pulisic for a lot of money and shipping off Hudson-Odoi would be typical for the PL heavyweights. They never learn.

They could also be overpaying due to their current inability to provide CL football.

Thats a shame. I think the kid is good but Chelsea is largely where careers go to die.

Maybe it's a prelude to Hazard going to Real this summer as well?

as you should be. The aim of a great youth set-up shouldn't be to ship talents off as soon as they are old enough to break through. Especially City and Chelsea have had fantastic youth set-ups over the past years, but they squander a lot of potential by not giving the youngsters a chance. One might think that cases like Sancho would finally make them change, but ...

Man I really hope this isn't the case but I totally understand if it is his dream to play at RM and makes the move.
I just wish he wouldn't contradict himself so much with the media.. It's always "I love Chelsea and want to be a Chelsea legend but....."
I get he is in a tough spot where he doesn't want to say too much but its a roller coaster as a Blues supporter to see various quotes from him every week.

Well City apparently have a buyback on Sancho so we'll see if he eventually comes back. After what happened with Pogba I think that there will be more and more of those buyback types of deals, they function as basically a high cost insurance policy if the player actually becomes great. So if Hudson-Odoi is sold I would guess it would have a buyback in it.

nah they "only" have first refusal and a 15 percent sell-on clause.

How many times have Chelsea had great talents that they squandered.
Salah, KDB and Lukaku spring to mind immediately. Maybe even Sturridge at one point.
But you're right. What is the point of these elaborate Academy setups if the kids never get a chance?

^^Yeah that makes way more sense for the buying club instead of a flat fee. Still offers protection to the selling club, but obviously at an unknown rate.

£££££. I think City have made almost £70 million selling academy products. The ROI on that has to be pretty impressive.

they've won the FA Youth Cup 7 times in the last 9 years (including 5 times in a row) and have been U18 champions twice in a row now. Also UEFA Youth League winners in 2015 and 2016 as well as runners-up in 2018. Their youth teams have been fantastic for many years now.

Who are we kidding? The main point of that setup is to prevent these players from going to your rivals. City has the same thing going on. Apparently (and you never know with all the ITK floating around) Spurs wanted him and he was good with that move, but of course City sold him to Dortmund instead.
