Patriots are trading Brandin Cooks and a 4th to the Rams in exchange for a 1st and a 6th.

Patriots, as of today, are picking 23rd, 31st and 43rd. Rams settle for Cooks instead of OBJ.

Maybe. Reports were that Gronk might retire, and then that he would come back only on the condition that Brady was there. Brady is reportedly now thinking of retiring sooner than later (before 45) and maybe after one more year. Gronk might like to be traded if he is worn down by "The Patriot Way" (Bill), and there is no guarantee Brady will play much longer. Gronk may have a possible WWE career to consider too.

Crazy story here.

Quote:
New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is prolific on his personal Instagram account, and his interaction with those who follow him might have prevented a potential tragedy.

As first reported in The New York Times, Edelman was visiting former teammate Danny Amendola in Texas in late March when he received a direct message on Instagram that read, "Dude, there is a kid in your comment section says he s going to shoot up a school, I think you should alert the authority."

Edelman's assistant then called 911, and the message was ultimately traced to a 14-year-old boy in Port Huron, Michigan. When police arrived at the boy's home, according to the Times, he admitted to posting the threat. Authorities also found two rifles that belonged to his mother, a police chief told the Times.

Interesting advanced stats article on the QBs in this year's draft. Could potentially be looking at a lot of fool's gold.

I puked a little when I heard. Hard to argue it's not a significant upgrade though.

He's going to be a pro bowl punter for most of that contract at that altitude so you are going to like him when he turns field position around for the Broncos. It will be interesting to see if he wears out his welcome in Denver like he did in Oakland as he was not popular in the Raiders locker room. Not often you see players come out and tweet like this after an ex-player signs somewhere else;

I realize Mayfield won't be the top QB picked but IMO he's the guy that should be picked first as all the metrics point to him being the best of a mediocre looking lot.

The Patriots are signing former Bills wide receiver Jordan Matthews to a one-year deal, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Yeah, I feel like this is going to be one of those drafts we look back at and just laugh at all the GMs who, as usual, lost their minds over prototypical size and arm strength and passed over a kid who might be the next Drew Brees or Russell Wilson.

Hope the Pats get a shot at him.

Troubled former NFL linebacker Aldon Smith had a blood-alcohol content of .40 when he arrived at the San Francisco Sheriff's Department last week, prosecutors said Wednesday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
He is completely out of control and will be lucky to see age 30 at this pace.

Rumours starting to pick up that Allen is going to be the first pick for the Browns. Browns gonna Browns.

yeah, saw that too. Daniel Jeremiah seems to be 100 percent sure that Allen's going to be pick.

And all of a sudden that Jets trade doesn't look so bad.

Speaking of Browns gonna Browns, 5 years and $75 million for Jarvis Landry. There's a reason bad teams stay bad. Nothing like drafting Allen ostensibly for his arm talent, then paying $15 million per to a guy who mostly catches bubble screens and underneath routes.

I said to my buddy, a Browns fan, when the Eagles traded all those picks to them for Wentz, "We both know Wentz is going to be a star and Cleveland is going to end up blowing those picks because Cleveland."

Many pro personnel guys think he will be the best of the bunch in this draft.

He will need to sit and learn for a year or two, but with Taylor in the fold they have the ability to think long term.

If they have him rated the best of the bunch down the line, then he is the prudent pick.

I'd also like to add that the previous year LaFleur was the QB coach for Matt Ryan, which was the year he won MVP. I'm pretty excited about this move as a Titan's fan. There are dozens of us.
