If there's a time to throw in wrinkles or changes for the Stamps its this week, they have an advantage of two weeks of prep and the Eskies have to use film from the regular season.
I'm not talking about trick plays, like hey dude "Flea Flicker on sound" or lets run the guard around, or statue of Liberty.
But its a great time to change up the up front blocking scheme slightly, and change the pass protection slides.
Adjust some of the read routes.
I'd love to see a pony backfield to start with running Finch and Messam and running a variation of the Navy Read option Veer to start with just to make the blunt the Eskimos ends and really good rush d line.
If you can peel back the Eskimos rush and make them hesitate to read the option, then you take the pressure off of Bo.
Then you can start mixing it up with your basic offense.

I love it too, some of my favourite memories of Stamps games are sitting inside of sleeping bags freezing the whole game, taking refuge in the washroom during halftime to warm up. As much as I want that for this weekend, I’d rather a big crowd, and unfortunately that isn’t possible with colder weather.
Which once again makes me wonder why they dont start the CFL season earlier. I have never understood why they play the majority of the season in the summer which tends to support the passing game, and then by the time playoffs roll around, the game can completely change to a run game.
Benefits to starting earlier:
-potentially better playoffs weather, better crowds, more money at the gates
-starting earlier also would have less time conflicting with NFL product.
I assume I am missing something here? Stuck with tradition/canadiana?

I think it's a couple of things from the CFL's point of view:
(a) They really don't seem to want to go head to head with the Stanley Cup Finals (though we all know that 90% of the time a Cup Finals game is on a Monday/Wednesday/Saturday so it wouldn't be hard to schedule around).
(b) Maybe more importantly, attendance really isn't all that great in a lot of CFL markets in the summer and starts to pick up after Labour Day. I remember hearing that many times over the years (though I do wonder if it's changed over time). Some teams in particular really hate playing on weekends in the summer due to people wanting to spend those weekends at the lake/mountains/camping (Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary).
The secondary is going to have to be fairly sharp, Maas seems to like running pass misdirection where he likes to draw the secondary to the middle of the field and then passes to the receiver or back going in the opposite direction. There are two examples of this. The first on the Bowman touchdown where he motioned the slot outside of the wide out and the wide out then ran a tight 7 to draw coverage in the middle of the field while Bowman ran a inside leverage post route that put the safety in a tough position.
He also likes to have his receivers on one side both route in to bring the secondary into the middle of the field and he either hits the running back going wide in a one on one with a linebacker. Or instead of the running back, he'll have the 4 slot come across the formation in a play action jet sweep then he leaks across traffic. This is the running back version of it, but you can see where the 4 could be used instead.

I just took a look at the forecast for Sunday and it looks like sunny skies with a temp of 5 degrees. Can't ask for much better than that for the 3rd week of November.

The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
I feel this is a pretty big game for the organization. Attendance was down this season and regardless of what your opinion may be the fact is that a lot of fans are getting tired of being the best in the regular season and not the playoffs. I imagine there's a fair bit of pressure on the team to win this game. I hope they don't overcompensate and just go out and execute the game plan.

a) they should have nothing to worry about. Unless it's a Canadian team you want to win(Flames) or a cdn team you want to lose(all of those other scrubs) most people aren't watching anymore. I won't watch a Sharks/Panthers final nor a Preds/Canes final, and haven't watched the past 4 stanley cup finals. the NHL is just super boring if you are not invested in a team.
b) that doesn't make sense as of right now they play the whole 2 months in the summer anyways.
Start it up a month earlier. This is prob the most no brainer move for the league.
I don't know if he will be on the roster for Sunday, but Cordarro Law is injury free. Also, the bye week has been beneficial for Ja'Gared Davis who will likely draw in for the West final.

That would be big for the Stamps -- JGD has been excellent this year. Also expecting most of the receiving corps back as well -- Marquay, Daniels, Michel, and Jorden. This is a different team with those guys back in the lineup.
