I just listened to the newly released Yelawolf album. I really like the guys' music, but this album aside from the singles released to this point, really wasn't good. Apparently he produced the album himself. He needs to go back to using producers, because it really wasn't good throughout.

Always had a big crush on Tanya Donnelly.

The last WTF podcast with Maron is quite interesting. He talked movingly about his friend Louis CK. Then he had a long interview with Kim Deal of the Pixies/Breeders. He told Kim he used to hang out a place in Boston where Tanya was a waitress.

Anyone who has been active in this thread knows I'm a big Shearwater fan. Jonathan Meiburg has a new project called Loma that released the first song off their upcoming self-titled album.

It's near the Alan Sparhawk (Low) universe and I dig it.

Wow, nice to see The Weather Station appear so high up on Uncut's list. I thought they were pretty unknown outside of Toronto. I don't have their latest album but I do have Loyalty, their previous album, and it is solid.

They also did a killer cover of Joy Division's "Transmission" a few years ago.
