Kurt is a cyborg.
I am closing in on 3000km which is insane because it is mostly commuting with all the rain free days we have had this year. My longest ride and only century rides this year was the R2CC.

Should have got his plate # and reported that. Might be extra bonus points for the smoke toss as there's a fire ban for the city.
Sorry, this was a reply to Coys

I couldn't see the truck plate because he had a trailer and the license plate for that was wrapped around the wheel well.
Oh well - he didn't hit me or get real close. Just strange to see someone that angry just because of my presence.

two part question.
I seemed to have scrapped the rubber off my cleat already within the first two weeks, is that under warranty ya figure?
Second question - where's a cheap spot to get them? order from Amazon or something. $25-$30 per pair locally seems a bit steep if they are only going to last me 2 weeks on average.

What type of cleat? Road cleat? Shimano SPD with the yellow tabs? Don't think this would be under warranty, if you are walking on them or using them, they wear out.
I've got 1,000km on mine right now, plus a ton of walking on them and they are plenty worn but they have not affected performance yet. It's only a big deal if you begin to slip out when you don't want to.
Cleats should last more than 2 weeks. Can you give us a picture of what is worn?

I had to replace my Keo cleats earlier this year also (got them with the bike last July). Even though the wear wasn't too bad, I had one side of the rubber tear loose from the cleat, resulting in a huge amount of float and loose fit. Combining that with the fact the pedals don't turn all that great anymore after only 2.5k, I'm upgrading to Ultegra SPD this off season.

The wife and I went biking in south brag today. She was a trooper as we went up s nag,ore to the lookout, and we then went back down and took the xc ski trails. We managed 15k with 400 m of elevation gain in two hours.
I was surprised at the elevation gain and how well she handled the rooty sections of snagmore. She had one minor spill.

Looks like the weather is about to turn. Might need to get the bike with the fenders out.

The city is teasing us with the Beaverdam Flats pathway paving. The lines are painted and yesterday it looked as if they were being cleaned. The website still says June 2018 for completion though.
This has to be one of the last areas to be cleaned up from the flood.
Now they're repaving the detour on 62 Ave in Lynnwood. I think I lost a few fillings going through there on the weekend.

it will be nice when they finish that section - too bad they did not pave it all the way along the river to glenmore and give an option to bypass that climb up thru lynnview.
I'd like to know when the projects that currently have the path detoured thru quarry park and then further up the path in douglasdale (which has seemingly been detoured for at least a year now, maybe getting close to two) will be done.

Quarry Park is supposed to be done in October.
I'm not sure what section in Douglasdale you're referring to. I can't see it on their closures page but I couldn't be looking at the wrong thing.

I've only been cycling a few months- never knew that there was a Beaver Dam Flats pathway. That would be cool to have done, as that Ogden-50th intersection seems to be where I see the most issues on my commute.

Yeah it looks like its getting close for sure.
I pass this every day and I think it would be nice to have the option to stay on the Bow River path instead of cutting through Lynwood to Ogden Road like you say. The big hill on Millican Road is fun to go down in the morning though.
