Default Blackberry Email Issues

Just wondering if anyone else is having any issues today?

I'm not receiving my emails on my Blackberry (although I am receiving them on my linked account). Anyone else encountering this?

I have had two instances where I had zero traffic on my BB. Both times I was somehow knocked off the network. I also couldn't send or receive calls or texts. The internet wouldn't work either.

I can make calls. How'd you get back on the network? I'm getting quite aggrevated because I am waiting on some pretty important work emails today.

The first time I just stopped by my local Telus store and they fixed it right away. The second time I knew what the problem was and just called Telus.

I just called Bell and there's a 13-15 minute wait. So i'm assuming others must be having the same problem as usually there is no wait. I'll wait an hour an see if it comes back online.

Try pulling your battery out. That worked for me before when I was not getting any e-mails.

I've had to do this before and it works everytime. You are actually supposed to take out and put back in the battery every so often as a way of rebooting the phone anyway.

I would definatly try that. I have had to do that before. When I got knocked off the network I took the battery out. When it didn't fix anything I knew something was wrong.

Took the battery out and it didn't fix the problem. I'm on hold with Bell right now.

It is fixed now. For future reference, the reason it wasn't working was due to a safety feature. It was a pretty complicated fix (they had to send me a new service package, etc.

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions.

No problems whatsoever with mine...

Might as well throw this in here..
Two questions
Any way to have the keyboard backlight stay on as long as the screen?

I can't seem to attach a notifier noise for BB messenger, is this possible?

Assuming that your Pearl settings are similiar to a Curve's. I don't think you can set that. The backlight for the screen can be adjusted in Options. On my curve the keyboard backlight adjusts automatically when the backlight auto dim's. If that makes sense.

Edit: I just checked mine. The backlight and keyboard backlight both stay on for the same amount of time (depending on the light). Maybe the Pearl is different.

Mine is the same as that... but I would like the keyboard light to come on more often, and I'd like to adjust the settings. I find that the keyboard backlight doesn't happen as often as I'd like.

Doesn't seem like you can adjust it however, little annoying.

also, if you have a work one, sometimes it has to do with the bes server. but the reboot usually helps as well.

Actually i think you can (but I'm not 100% on this because I don't use BB Messenger too much)

Go to Profiles---> Advanced ----> Highlight whichever profile is your active profile and press the BB button ----> Edit -----> There are teo options for Messenger, Alert and New Messenger ----> Change the settings for those and test by having someone send you a BB Message. Make sure volume isn't set to mute under the Alert and New Message settings.

The New Message settiong is the one to change to get a different tone or whatever when a message comes in.
