I think the teams that move on from the qualifying round will have a nice advantage going into the next round having shaken some rust, built up the intensity and then facing a rusty team.

i soooo hope the flames bring back 'shot down in flames'.... but mind you, with the recent snowbirds crash i don't know if that would be ok?

This is a tough match up but that's the result of a so-so regulation for both teams up until the season ended. A toss up for me that goes the distance.

Yes but this is why I think they have to go with re-seeding each round to make the 1-4 seeding round robin matter.

No. A player has to be on a team's reserve list at the trade deadline to be eligible to play in the playoffs.

Sure, under the rules from the Before Time. What about the rules in the Now Now?

Given that the NHL has reportedly already ruled against Kirill Kaprizov being able to join Minnesota for the playoffs (and he's already their property to begin with), I would suspect that no team will be able to sign Byfuglien for the playoffs.

Byfuglien also has to want to play, get healthy and get in shape. That last one could take til next season.

Flames play boring hospital hockey to start and we win.
I remember it being called that by Neimenen.

But in all seriousness...our defense will win this series if activated properly by Ward.

Excited AF right now.....get in Shape.....groom those pandemic Beards into playoff Grizz .

My only concern is players like Lucic.....lotsa time off and that rust and lack of footspeed will be glaringly obvious.
Looch will be good in the room and bench though.

Hopefully BSD has healed up his elbow and Talbot is no slouch either....all this talk of Conor ....pfft.

Go Flames Go

Don't worry, he's been working on his feet.

Having Rinaldo as a 4th line option is oddly exciting for a playoff series. Plus the ability to swap in Rieder if we want a PK specialist or a bit more speed.

I, personally, look forward to the Austin Czarnik playoff redemption tour.

Bold prediction: he scores at least 2 GWGs in the playoffs.

Hoping for the best but not super optimistic.

Can't wait for Bennett to score a couple goals and we can continue to cycle through everyone thinking he has finally arrived and should start in the top six next season.

Now that is a name I have not heard in a long time. Completely forgot about him.
