Are trains back to running on schedule or is there still a delay?

Heard about the accident just before I was about to drop my wife off at Crowfoot, so instead I had to drive her all the way downtown.
That intersection could potentially be confusing for some drivers with the different sets of lights there and with the counterflow lane indicators so that could provide an explanation for why this could happen. Moronic, yes, but could be why.

When I walked by a ctrain station in the NE on my lunch break about 20 minutes ago, they were announcing that service had resumed, but to still expect "slight delays".

Update- another similar crash. This one looks a lot more serious. Definite injuries.

This time we didn't hear a train horn. Just the crunch. Makes me wonder if there's an issue with the signal lights there.

And downtown traffic flowing west slows down after Calgary Transit finally installs crossing arms...

Or it could be that there are homeless guys that stop at that intersection begging for money. Really distracting for drivers, the cops have to really put a stop on this...

I would think stupidity would be more likely than a heart attack from eating too much Alberta beef. Anything is possible though.

What happens if he was trying to take off his parka because it was too hot because he threw his cigarette through his window and it blew into the rear window when he wasn't looking and when he was taking off his parka his mitten loops got caught on his seat adjusters and he couldn't steer?

What looks to be the occupants of the van are OK, walking around.
Police and fire have the entire intersection taped off. Getting out of downtown is going to suck as this effectively closes the 10th street bridge. That means all those people will be taking 14th or Crowchild now. If you drive and live in the NW, might be a good day to leave work early.
