Tonight, NBA TV played every series clinching win for the Raptors in their run to the Larry O'Brien trophy last year. I have to say, that's some of the most complete and entertaining basketball I've ever seen. Leonard was an absolute beast and deserves all the praise in the world. It's rare to see guys play with that level of heart and determination.
It was a unique combination of things that led to their win, but that was truly a special team.

I like Shaq but when he stood at the NBA awards, right in front of the Raptors table and made that joke about how you beat one guy because the whole Warriors team was injured I was really pissed off.
Sure you can say you were making a joke, but I thought it was a really disrespectful moment that you wouldn't see in other sports. They showed the Raptors table and they looked like they were trying to laugh through it but didn't like it.
Really bizarre moment.

Try to imagine the NHL awards where the losing Stanley Cup Finals team had a couple stars out and an analyst presenting comes up and basically says "your Stanley Cup doesn't mean ****, you would have lost but they had injuries".
Even in a joke fans, media and players would be like "Are you absolutely ****ing kidding me??!!! You just said that to the Cup winners??!!".
9:20. "Where they beat the golden state warrior! That's right they only beat one the rest of the team was hurt". Even the crowd held back realizing that even in a comedic monologue you're saying exactly what you're saying to the champs.
I maintain you wouldn't see that in most sports leagues, especially from an on air league personality.
Well. I just finished “The Last Dance”. As someone who was a little too young, and didn’t really care about basketball, I found it fascinating and a very well done Documentary. A few things that stood out to me...
-The fandom and hysteria that followed Jordan was incredible and I can’t think of any athlete that has ever had that much attention.
-Pippen’s tantrum and holdout over his contract was poor form. He should only blame himself and agent for taking a long term contract at a “discounted” rate. Can’t blame the Bulls for that one.
-Rodman was weirder than I could’ve ever imagined. But mad respect for the guy. Just let me do my thing and I’ll do my job for you. Pretty refreshing actually.
-The treatment of Jerry Krause seemed strange to me. The dude seemed to have a knack for talent. And firing a coach after 3 successful years to bring in Jackson was a bold move and one that should be more celebrated. But there’s probably more to the story than the doc told.
- Jordan seems very lonely and only seemed to be surround by his security or hired help during the series. Very telling that his best friend also served as one of his security guards. It would be hard to have a normal social life when you’re that big of celebrity but kind of made me feel for the guy.
- How is a Jordan not the undisputed GOAT in the NBA? His stats, work ethic, and hardware are ridiculous. And if he didn’t retire twice and lose 5 seasons one would think he’d be the leader in most offensive categories and maybe even have 8 championships.
coached the Jazz for 23 years, hell of a run ... and of course unlucky not to win a championship. That Jazz team was great back then, just peaked exactly during Jordans second run. RIP.
