No, I don't really keep track anymore. Years ago I found it made me a lot looser with the rules of the road and probably a bit of a dick on the pathways. Not who I want to be.

Anyway, the TT's are good, but I've always seen the tour as a team event helping one rider win. Having the TT be the decider, to me anyway takes away from that a bit. This isn't a hill I'm dying on here, just a personal opinion.

When do we get the crusty British commentators back to talk about their sandwiches? I'm not a fan of these guys.

Rest day today. Last week of the Tour.

As close as it is, I can't see anyone taking the jersey from Froome. No one else seems to have a team to support them. Aru has to rely too much on the other teams to support him.

Does anyone know how Aru is in the time trial?

I'd be curious to see if Landa really goes to Movistar next year. I think he's ready to be the leader.

Somewhat interesting race today with such a huge breakaway early. I always like to see a breakaway stay in front and win, but when its like 25 guys its not as exciting. It'll be interesting to see if there is any Yellow jersey jocking on the final HC climb, but Froome looks to have this locked up.

Unless someone is able to put forward the time trial of their life I can't see Froome losing yellow

Team Sky driving the Peleton today and they had no interest in actually catching the breakaway. The finish just happened and they are still about 10km out. Probably didn't want to get Froome up there in the mix in case a sprint finish got wild.

Pretty much Froome's race to lose with the time trial. As long as he stays upright it looks like he'll take this one home. While a bit boring, it was a very impressive tour for him.

I was surprised and a bit disappointed when I checked and saw that, even though he's about to win his fourth tour, Froome's got a "measly" 7 TDF stage wins in 5 years of competing, and none this year. Sure seems to use his team to his advantage, but generally not a very exciting guy to watch or root for.

Froome took his best method to a Yellow Jersey in Paris. Don't lose any time on regular stages to his close rivals, and then outrace them in the time trials. There was no requirement to "drop" anyone along the way, he just couldn't be dropped himself. I agree it make the Tour feel a bit lackluster this year, but you can't really fault his strategy.
