Ozzy released this a few days ago. Elton John play piano and sings a verse. I never realized that Ozzy and Elton had similar voices (at least they do here). This WORKS! On many levels, too!

Saw an interesting mini-documentary on Saharan guitar music.

Though I disagree with the premise that it's the best guitar music being made today, it's really interesting stuff and I came away with one new artist that I really like "Bombino".

I am a fan of every album to be honest. The last two have been pretty different stylistically but they both are excellent in my opinion. If I am going to introduce someone to DBT though I will go straight to Dirty South.

I am still not sure how I feel about their new political approach. I think it is a step away from these amazing stories they could tell about the passions, dreams, and fears of the little people. They still have some of that, but it's been lost, maybe.

I would say Dirty South or Go-go Boots.

i found this totally by accident.....

i've loved metal forever, but what i'm not really a huge fan of is when the singer 'screams' lyrics - just not really my thing. the guy that puts out this video (and lots of others) plays bass and both lead and rhythm guitars and then uses a computer program for the drums - no vocals. i'm just loving this!!

It really blows my mind how much the Beatles still hold up. I guess when you invent basically every pop music trope, you pretty much will always be best in class.

Mr. Burns: Beatles, eh? Ah, yes, I seem to remember their off-key caterwauling on the Sullivan show. What was Ed thinking?

Do exactly what you want whenever you want, and have a legendary time doing it. Who gives a flying #### what anybody else thinks.

I'm often the oldest person in the room at some gigs. The young folk seem to accept me, and trust that I'm not a Narc.

I'm always the oldest person in the room, and that includes that guy that owns the place and lets his kid run it.

I still don't know what to make of this but it's certainly unique and nice to see a real alternative act as the genre has largely become a tame extension of pop. I think I like it as a novelty but I don't know how far she can go with this.
