I see them as the biggest threat to the Flames. Honestly the only edge that Calgary has in any of those categories is defense and I don’t think it’s a big edge.
lol

They have had the best goaltending in the western conference. And goaltending is part of the game, so good for them. But it is hiding a lot of other weaknesses.

It covers up for the defensive problems. It's not hiding it, it's just bailing it out.

I said it in another thread and I will say it here: A great powerplay and amazing goaltending are an amazing recipe for regular season success. Expecting them to fade just seems like hopeful thinking at this point. Will they make noise in the play-offs? I'll be tickled pink if they win a round, but I think people need to start coming around to the idea of the Canucks probably making it.

I agree. The Canucks are likely going to make the playoffs; probably at the expense of the Edmonton Oilers, which will be hilarious and satisfying.

I sincerely hope this is the case. Then we can start the narrative of "Is Pettersson a more complete player than McDavid?" I can't wait for it.

It will be fun. Especially since the answer to the question is most obviously "Elias Lindholm."

The Wild defeating the Lightning 3-2 in reg time was a shocker.

Grubauer with the 27 save SHUTOUT, 4-0 Avs over the Sharks.

The Preds and Ducks each score a SHG in the 3rd period, good goaltending by Gibson in the Ducks 4-2 win.

The Rangers squeak it out with a 3-2 win in reg time over the Isles. Kreider scores the winner on the PP with 25 seconds left in the 3rd period. Georgiev made 38 saves and was busy in the 1st period when the Isles out shot the Rangers 22-6!
