I don't want Hamonic to be traded for a package of futures - I want Hamonic traded as part of a hockey trade. Get some top 6 help. Maybe that does entail flipping him for futures, and then flipping those futures somewhere else. However, if it is just about collecting futures at this point, then I would prefer Hamonic be kept around.
As for trading Gaudreau and signing Hall - I get the logic behind it. What I would prefer is keeping this core and ADDING to it. Not just replacing parts and pieces and hoping for chemistry. If the team wants to sign Hall, I would prefer they retain Gaudreau and create an elite top 6, or top 9. Not ideal to move a LHS winger to the right, but the point is you try and retain as much elite talent as possible, and fill up the roster with cost-effective decent players, preferably on their first or second contracts, with the odd experienced vet sprinkled-in.
This isn't necessarily for Hall - I don't particularly even love the idea of signing him in the off-season. I just think that adding elite talent doesn't mean you should move on from elite talent. You want to keep as much of your elite talent as possible IMO.
