The league doesn’t have the track record to pull off this garbage. Nothing like making your league appear like a complete circus in its inaugural season.
I have enjoyed going to Cavalry games during the summer, but seeing this garbage makes me not even want to renew my tickets.
After that half, I don’t know if I can support this league. It’s a joke.

Looks out to me. You can see the entire white line in front of it.
An absolute farce of a half officiating wise, but this was ALWAYS the risk coming into this game with the league scrambling to get Forge in front.

Wow.
And the ref is right there looking at it.

As I said before, the league is making sure the Cavs are playing against 15 from Forge. Absolute joke of refereeing.

There's a lineman also staring down the line that should see that.
An absolute joke and an embarrassment to the league, but par for the course.
Anyone who has a Twitter account, feel free to forward that pic to the league, Cbc, whoever.

Moody Malonga comes out. Good.
Another pic of the ball that was out, that would’ve meant the goal 10 seconds later never happened.

Nice laughing by both commentators as the Cavalry player is brought down. Who are these clowns calling this game?

Speechless. I am literally speechless at what I heard. I had to rewind my PVR and listen.

What are the chances the league rescinds that card?

There will be a different ref for the second leg, I hope.

Today I’m thankful for Marco and for crossbars.
Carducci earned his stripes, the rest of the boys better wake up for next week. I have faith they will

If at half time I would have been offered a 1-0 and Borges gone for leg 2, I would have taken it.
So much bush though. Commentary, officiating, etc. All of that aside I think we played pretty crappy as well. With all of the shenanigans, crossbars, etc. I think we can count ourselves lucky and take it at home in a week.

Poorest game Cavalry played all year. They need to be a lot better next week, that could have been 2-0 or 3-0. Without Borges, though, Forge may try to sit back and pull out a draw, which will get them killed.

Mason Trafford is an interesting player. He started the season injured and took a while to get acclimated, but he sure has proven to be such an important cog both with his leadership and play. A huge block today, surely preventing a 2-0 goal.

We played awful even during the spells when the same number of players were on the pitch. You have to wonder if having the final 2/3rds or your season being exhibition games has a negative effect.
The ref was awful, neither should have been reds IMO, and the ball looks almost certainly out leading to the Forge goal.

Jobbed by a shocking non call on the goal, and on the red, but guys held strong down to 10.
Some redemption on the red the other way. Jay Wheeldon an deliberate old school message sending hard foul, and outcome was better than expected.
Forge the last 5 minutes wanted the tie too. Their only hope is an away goal next week and if the Cavs got one late they’d be done.
Cavs didn’t play well at all, though they were ok until the early yellow and then they rightly well knew that the refs were going to make their presence known and had to back off. From that point they were on the back foot, then of course the red.
Will be shocked if we can’t get two here next week, weather permitting.
High school volleyball quality commentating, as well. Nigel Reed please.
