Sheet Sets - you know... for beds
As I'm almost adulting now... I am wanting to get nice sheets. but I always look at the pricing and die a little inside, as I am cheap. Where do people buy nice sheets and where should I look? what do others do?
I know is I only want deep pocketed fitted sheets. I honestly don't know enough about fabrics. Price is but isn't a issue it is still an automatic no when someone suggests $800+ silk sheets (no matter how good they are I'll have buyers remorse).
Any suggestions out there for a cheap person looking to upgrade?

You should probably check out Homesense or keep an eye out for sales at The Bay or Simons.
I don't have any specific suggestions for material or brands (everyone will have their own preference, so you should do some shopping to see what you like), but in regards to the cost, it might help if you think about how much use you get out of sheets and the potential quality of life impacts... Like making the time you spend in your bed better and more enjoyable for 8hrs a day, every day. Good sheets (and a good mattress) are at the low end of the cost-per-use spectrum.
Edit - if there's someone else you share your bed with, get their input.

Big fan of the ones we got at Costco. Deep fitted with excellent elastics to hold them in place. Of course, they change product all the time so tough to say if they still sell them. But for the price, I've always found good ones there.

Quality of sheets is noted by thread count, listed on the package, the higher the count the better the quality and longer lasting. Flannel, cotton, silk, etc are personal comfort levels that only you can determine.

That's not necessarily true, and thread count is more deceptive than body weight in a dating profile. If you have too many threads they end up being tiny, and don't last as long. Maybe at the ultra high end it is fine, but for us mortals, look in the 400 range.

I worked security at a Sex Show once.
There was a booth selling sheets.
I thought they were a good deal.
I bought some and brought the home.
My wife took away my sheet buying privileges.

As someone already mentioned, Homesense; also, Winners.
I run hot so I only get 100% cotton and never flannel.

Avoid buying linens on Amazon. The Bay has year-around sales on different linen brands and is probably the best place to shop for bedding. Look for 100% Egyptian cotton with high thread count (700 or more). You can get a full set for under $100.

Why avoid Amazon? This is one of those things where I have literally no knowledge about what I might be missing, I just either find sheets to feel reasonably comfortable, or I find them to feel artificial and slippery, and the ones I got off Amazon for like 30 bucks are the former. They're no better or worse, as far as I can tell, from the ones that the Bay sells on their website for 50% off every couple of weeks.
What am I missing out on here?

I'm sure it depends on the "brand" but I tried twice off of Amazon, and both times they were ####e. Super thin, didn't last, crappy elastics...

The ones I ordered are the "Utopia" ones with like 95,000 reviews, I'm pretty sure they're the first thing that comes up if you search for "sheets". I dunno, maybe there's some wonderful sleeping experience available to me that I just don't know about.

Too much fakery going on on Amazon with unknown Chinese sheets of "100% Egyptian 1000-count cotton blend fabric." Lots of reviews are rigged – buyers are reporting 'get free stuff for good reviews' thing going on with sponsored ad sellers. And pricing is not advantageous to sale prices at Bay, BBB etc., where you buy true brand names with certified fabric content.
P.S. Utopia is actually a decent brand; one of a few good exceptions.

Are you just looking for fitted sheets, and otherwise don't need the full set? I never sleep with a flat sheet, I get too hot, so I bought a couple fitted sheets at Daniadown ( https://www.daniadown.com/) recently and just sleep with a light comforter. So far, so good! 400 thread count "Egyptian" cotton, $70 for a deep pocket Queen size, lots of colours available.

White sheets are the only acceptable color anyways if you're older than 23.

Omg I can’t imagine how much of my body hair I’d find if I used pure white sheets haha
Neutral colours are where it’s at. But I guess that includes white too!
