we had a weird storm roll thru kelowna last night - there was TONS of lightning but almost all of it stayed up in the clouds. very little was actually over the city - almost all of it was waaaay off on the ridges, it made for an awesome light show!
i decided to setup my camera on my deck becuz we actually had some fairly close strikes. about a minute later i got this...

then, since i had my camera gear out i decided to get a few pics of my neighbour's car. he's a young guy (early 20s) and loves doing car mods. i'm very similar when it comes to my trucks, so the two of us have many lonnng conversations about what we've done/plan to do to our vehicles. earlier this week the city fixed the street light that my neighbour parks under and i thought it just made for a cool pic...

i texted him a few screen captures and he's pretty pumped - loves the different shots i got. i'm sure he'll have them up on instagram soon! ha! ha!

Calgary ZOO...  I am slowly giving up the hope of finding a good closeup shot of them in the wild... I still go out and look for them but not very successfully...

there was a small fire in the hills north east of kelowna yesterday around dinner time.
we were getting buzzed by the 5 skimmers that were scooping water out of lake okanagan to go dump on the fire

Whereabouts are you looking? They're hanging around confederation park/golf course now. These were from last weekend.

My brother sent me this picture from his lake front home (Round Lake) in Northern Minnesota. He calls it the perfect evening to end a Labour Day long weekend. Just him and his lab Buddy watching the sun go down.

I wish more people would post here these days. It used to be one of my favourites with weekly updates from various photographers open CP and then it just kind of died out randomly and that was it.

Never thought that any of my stuff is 'good enough' for this thread. But I've been doing a lot of driving and photography the last couple years. Here's a favorite shot of mine from those trips
