Bennett wasn't going to cut it for our 4th line centre. Didn't want to have to move Texier so quickly, as he has really started to play well for the CBJ in the playoffs and has a bright future. But, need to pay for an upgrade, so that's what I did.
Joey Anderson and a 2nd helps offset future potential.

Ducks send a 3rd in 22 for $2M in cap space from Caps.
Needed a bit more room after the Tyler Johnson deal. Caps had a bunch of space and good to make use of it.

I wasn't going to win anything by outscoring teams this year. Just too much firepower out there. So I now have a hard hitting and highly defensive D-core. Boroweicki (99 checking and 86 defense) and Cole (79 checking and 86 defense) make up the bottom pairing, so there are no holes in the lineup.
Forwards are a bit of a dog's breakfast. I might look to fidget there a bit.

Sharks like Kadri over Soderberg and are happy to swap Boroweicki for J. Johnson who is a much cheaper option for our bottom pair but still rated 70OV. Prospect swap seems pretty close so that wasn't a deal breaker.

We have acquired dman Jamie Oleksiak and $1.25 million from Anaheim in exchange for Nico Sturm and Wyatt Kalynuk.

Oleksiak is playing really strong hockey right now, so I'm not sure this is a great move, but I like trading for prospects sometimes.
Sturm looked good for the Wild in the Play-in and the Wild are desparately short on centremen, so he should get a long look.
Kalynuk has piles of speed which the NHL covets now, and the Hawks have spots open so I think he'll be a solid pickup.
