Default Web sites optimized for HD televisions

From time to time, it is nice to browse a quick web site on my PS3. Things like the weather, hockey scores, etc. are quick and easy. A couples of sites I have found seem to be optimized for viewing on TV (larger format, no flash, etc.). For example:

Yourtube XL: http://www.youtube.com/xl
Weather Flash: http://weatherflash.com/canada/ab/calgary/

There seems to be a lack of large-format web sites like these. This is probably because the web on your TV isn't commonplace yet. The benefit to me is that a larger format site doesn't require a lot scrolling around and zooming to get to your info. Simple, fast, easy to read. Mobile sites don't typically work as well because they are usually oriented vertically.

Does anyone know of any larger format sites that I can add to my bookmarks list? A hockey score site would be amazing.
