RCB was up a break early, but Shapo breaks as RCB was serving for the opening set. Back on serve at 5-5

Not a good end to the set as RCB breaks back and then holds serve to take set 1 7-5. Denis needs to clean things up, way too many unforced errors.

Three double faults in Shapo's opening service game of set 2 and RCB gets the break.
Edit: Denis breaks right back followed by a hold.

Denis taking a MTO, didn't see anything happen on that last point, hope it's nothing serious.

Shapo back and smashing racquets.
Edit: RCB breaks and will be serving for set 2 at 6-5. Denis looked a little hobbled after that last point.

Okay, Shapo breaks to force a tie-breaker and wins the tie-break 7-5 to level things at 1 set apiece. Almost 2 1/2 hours on court for the first two sets.

Well Dennis must have broken back because just tuned in to see him serving at 6-5 in the tiebreak and forcing an error to take the 2nd set.
Atta be Shapo!

Meanwhile, Leylah takes the opening set her in her match 6-4 over Hercog.

Denis saves three set points to stay in set 3, RCB serving at 5-3
Edit: RCB serves it out and is now up two sets to one.

Is Shapovalov visibly nursing an injury? Or does he have a chance to rebound and force a 5th set?

Hard to say, at times he appears to be hobbling out there, but he's still moving quite well. And now he's up a break in set 4.

Well, we need a 5th set to determine a winner between Shapo and RCB.

Also, Hercog won the second set 6-3 so her and Leylah are going to a 3rd set.

Onto the 5th!
Now we see if Shapo learned from the Busta loss at the US open.
Spaniards like to play the long game. There will be a pushback from RCB right now to start the 5th. Shapo has to expect it and raise his game as well.

Shapo earned a break point but dropped the first game.
Still a great first game, showing he’s got enough in the tank to do this. Now take care of your serve and keep attacking for the break.

Wow Leylah just broke to open the 3rd set in a 13 minute, 20 point game.
The entire 2nd set was 75 points for comparison.
Great resolve.

Denis lets out a huge roar as he breaks RCB and now is serving at 3-2 in set 5. That was a marathon game.

Shapo breaks! Up 3-2! After 3 missed breaks earlier that game.
What a crucial moment. You could see Shapo start to get frustrated at his missed opportunities. He drops that one, he might bring that flustered mindset to his serve and drop a service game himself.
RCB never won a 5 set match and never been to a 3rd round of a major. He won’t give you many free points though so keep your head in the match and be patient Shapo!
