Would it be beneficial to have one of us play as a goalie? The AI goalies are rated very low, much like the other AI players on the online teams. Playing other teams that have human goalies can be very hard to score on. I purchased the hybrid boost pack for my goalie, and his stats are pretty stacked.

the one thing we have never focused on in our 2+ years is an actual goalie.

with the team as large as it is, we have many times used a goalie, but never had a dedicated player. we only used it out of necessity. there are a couple of us (myself included) that are average at goal, but not since season 1 when chuckie had like a 10 game shutout streak have we had a 'good' goalie.

Playing Goalie is so hard this year.
There is no auto cover for goalie and all i can do is stare at the loose puck.
OR, i can try to manual cover it which very risky...

For some reason, a game we won in double OT last night didn't register. I'm sure Jobo, Diverce, Diemenz and Logan can vouch for me. Stupid buggy EA servers....

I know several people will expect this coming from me but honestly, what is up with French Canadians this year again?

I have played 7 vs games against different French Canadians and all 7 have disconnected once i had a two goal lead.

Last year if there was QC in any username on the team you knew they were going to try and pause glitch if losing and this year (since they haven't figured out how to pause glitch yet) they just quit hoping the EA server will miss the game.

Only saving grace is that the curve shot is not nearly as prolific this year and they have lost that from their play book.

Had my first major hiccup with the game last night.

Would not load after the first period of a club game then after having to shut off the ps3 it would not recognize the game at all.

After 3 hard resets it finally noticed NHL.

Side note sorry to the guys I ditched on.

Don't feel bad, those two guys came from a top notch team and average 2 goals a game each.

I wasn't in game because shaw's fixing my net but my iPhone works great for searching results

I should have the game friday, so I'll be online this weekend for sure. I can't wait. Hopefully the lack of more dressing rooms won't be a problem as it sounds in this thread and EA decides to add one more.

As a forward, I'll try CLASSIC camera without autoo zoom.

It's also nice to see that although the FATAS went on a Flames-January-2010-like losing streak, people kept their composure and didn't blame yellow, err, Dobbles and run him off the team. We need his naivity.

Thank God they finally fixed that stupid curve shot. So weak.

Don't expect for another DR to be allowed. EA did this to make win trading more difficult and encourage much more full man team games.

Anyway we need to getting some general team practices as well goaltender practices in. As well we need to develop some set up plays we could use in game. I don't want to lose to two man teams anymore no matter how good the players are, and that requires having players being at the right spots and being able to defeat the CPUs positioning. Let's start getting some play drawn up if you have any in mind.

Also a word of tip. I see a lot of us make some hard passes where they're weren't necessary. I assume this is because players changed there minds of initially passing the puck, but don't know how to cancel the pass charge up. You can cancel passes if you tap down L1 while holding R2.

If you have more than 4 on at most times, why don't you just play against 4+? Games aren't that hard to find right now...

And the one DR is great, it has helped split up some of the talent on the top teams at least (ie. no more 25-30 man rosters)
