Just my opinion, but Warrener is awful and I can't stand him as a radio host. Boomer I can handle but I would actually listen again if Warrener was replaced. Best guy on the radio station is Loubo when he's on, simply because of his deep knowledge of all things hockey, including outside of the NHL.

The only reason I don't mind when they are away is that sometime Klein will go into tangents about Old School Wrestling.

I'm a fairly loyal 960 listener in the morning and afternoon commute. I usually just listen to them over music in the AM especially. This morning was god awful. I ended up switching to my Sirius XM...

Ehh.
I tried listening to music in my car the other day. After about 5 minutes of straight commercials and no sign of music, I gave up.
Silence is golden. Music is silver. Talk is bronze.
Commercials are low-grade plutonium.

Not sure, it sounded like Peter Kline, Nault and someone else.
There was lots of UMMMMs and dead air, seemed directionless. This was around 7:40-8am or so

Oh man! That is the biggest load of snake oil that station pumps.
The heart fit clinic literally does nothing and is insult to injury. Getting people to pay for what they get for free.
Oh your obese and you smoke... well did you know you’re likely to have a heart attack?
Try not smoking, losing weight & exercising...
Take that information & you too can open a clinic.

I do enjoy the knowledge that Loubo has, however i CANNOT stand that he constantly qualifies everything he says with "If you have watched a lot of hockey like i have....", perhaps it is just me, but it RGMG

I don't mind Lubo on spot duty. I actually like when he talks Vikings as it's funny listening to his fan misery but he would be unbearable on a daily basis. His niche in broadcasting is clearly color commentator.

Yeah it's been pretty bad (mostly because they are more or less the same guy) but they are just filling in after all.

They also promote Alberta Chiro (pseudoscience) and early prostate screening (research suggests this is unnecessary and has negative side effects).
Canadian Task Force recommends against screening for prostate cancer

PSA Screening for Prostate Cancer
PSA testing is controversial. A new study finds that PSA screening for prostate cancer offers no survival benefits.

As someone living outside Calgary, I do occasionally like listening to the show especially after a big game. I like Rhett's insight, Boomer is fine and keeps things moving, and I realize the third person is there to get ripped on.
But I find it hard to listen through the whole thing. I think Boomer's Ignore-the-NBA schtick is just plain stupid, and it's a generally piggish show. I do wish they would find a woman for the 3rd person role. I'd appreciate a different insight.

I’ve always wondered about this. Radon mitigation is expensive, but if it’s such a big deal, wouldn’t it be a pretty widely know issue and talked about outside of the companies that do Radon mitigation?
Mostly curious. In conjunction with the other garbage advertised on 960 I’ve always assumed it’s much ado about nothing.

I like Rhett because he's one of the few radio guys that doesn't sound like he's selling me something. He also doesn't mind giving his actual opinion even though he's often roasted for it by the other guys.

Its not about the side effects it is about the False positives. It has a false positive rate of like 33% . It also has too high of a False negative (missed diagnosis)..

Boomer doesn't have time for any sport outside of the NHL and a little bit of football talk. He's just as happy ignoring tennis, golf, etc as the NBA. Any MLB talk he has to do is probably forced as an employee of Rogers. He's just not a sports guy which was acceptable because Rome came after. With no Rome it's going to be pretty crappy for fans of other sports outside of hockey to listen to this station from morning to afternoon. People talk crap about Rome but really it's the only daily sports talk on Calgary airwaves where current events of MMA, golf, NBA, NFL, boxing, etc are discussed.

The absolute worst thing to hear are those stupid skits they do for ''My Pillow'' and how the whole family loves it and just can't get enough of them. It would be fine if it was a standard radio advertisement. But when Boomer starts chatting away about it like it's an actual segment or conversation piece, holy crap does that blow. Especially when he starts rapping about it.
Makes me never want to even consider buying one of those dumb pillows just because of how horrible that shtick is.
