Well, there is "caring" and then there is over-the-top pronouncements of "disaster." I get that a number of people don't like them, but after the first few games of the season this is something no one will care much about.

it's two steps in the right direction from a jersey I wasn't really fond of. That won't elicit joy from me but baby steps I guess.
dropping the italics is a win, and getting rid of the piping is a win. Wish the flags and armpits were gone as well, but I guess 50% of the way there on a jersey that still has a black C (not my choice)
Nothing to get my gitch in a hitch over.

I think disaster is pretty accurate. Were likely going to be wearing these for 17 years. Longer than the original set. Yes, it's a huge disaster.

At worst a new jersey you hate is a frustrating disappointment, but one that is easily overtaken by so, so many other things.

Stupid striping on the sides and the bottom. I actually think if it came down to it I might take piping over the stripes. Shouldve just gotten rid of both. But team is stubborn.

I've been more embarrassed by the hyperbolic ranting of fellow fans about the jerseys than I have been by any jerseys ever.
It's just a sweater. An improved sweater. A sweater you don't have to buy (and if it's really as bad as you say, you don't even have to watch them ever play in it).

It's an improvement to me. Love that the piping is gone but I'm still not a fan of the vertical black stripes on the side as it's just weird and just doesn't look right. Get rid of that and the flags and this would be a pretty decent jersey.

This doesn't qualify as an impactful redesign in my humble opinion. It's old and stale and the merchandise will look dated from day 1. I love the make up of the guys on the team and the future in store, but damn is the Flames branding ever bush league. There are many better options in the threads here.

Shot in the dark here. But the jersey issue (like so many others) has the feel of a billionaire owner who exercises the right to make the big decisions himself. People blame Ken King, but I bet it goes to the top of the ownership group. "My team, I'll pick the jerseys I like. And I like the flags!"
Some days I long for an ownership group directed by a corporation who is not driven by ego and pride.
