I'm pretty sure the big Looch did absolutely nothing on that play to warrant an assist. He completely whiffed on the puck as it was coming off the boards, does two 360's while the puck is knocked into the crease, and then celebrates when he realizes the puck is in the net. It's actually pretty comical if you watch the replay and just focus on #27.
