So I'm wanting to get a Mesh WIFI like Velop or Google Wifi. not too picky.

I spent a while researching it, the velop (while in my opinion, and reviewers) was better then the google, its quite pricey. I found a open box velop and picked it up, and it works great (had an issue figuring out how to get the Ethernet backhaul to work properly, but eventually figured it out).

If I didn't find the open box velop, I would have gone the netgear route, they have some great mesh options.

I saw Orbi online it looks pretty good. Do I really to go fancy with the ac3000 or is that just showing off?

I have the Google Wifi and its awesome. It's still fairly new tech to residential world so resell may be hard to find probably better off looking for sales.

Why do you want mesh wifi?

Im not being a jerk Im asking honestly as I have tried 3 different mesh systems (referenced in the other thread) and was convinced i needed it when i started buying and trying.
