UPD: Oilers claim Zykov off waivers. Darling and Soshnikov clear.
Wow. 2 more years at $4.15 mil cap hit

Who would have thought that signing a 28 year old back-up goalie with only 75 NHL games to a $4.15 million cap hit would be a bad idea?

I am as well. Unless there is something mentally or physically wrong we don't know about this seems like a very stupid move by Carolina. Zykov has oodles of skill.

Didn't Zykov play very well last year for Peters? May be a good 3LW option to play opposite Neal while Frolik is lut
