Felix erased a set point with an ace.
Now a tiebreak

Vasek lost his chance in the 12th game. Felix was really shaky, missed 6 first serves in a row but he could only manage duece. Then a set point but was erased by an ace. Felix crused from there.

Yup, Vasek has his chances and just couldn't capitalize on them in that game.

It's really tough to say how much that slip and fall at the US Open impacted Genie. She was playing some pretty good tennis at Flushing Meadow before being forced to withdraw and just hasn't recovered (at least from a tennis standpoint) since then. Now I'm reading she's being trolled on instagram and twitter after a first round loss at Indian Wells (she and partner Sloane Stephens also lost in doubles yesterday).
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens, I mean, it is women's tennis which is very unpredictable (aside from Serena), but she certainly faces a long climb back to serious consideration on the WTA tour.

Speaking for myself, I'll admit I'm still a bit bitter after the comments Genie made at the Rogers Cup and the ladies who fought hard for Canada at the Fed Cup deserve to be there. I believe it's an honour to represent your country.
At the end of the day, no one should be bullied. Period. Social media, with all of its good points, can really impact a person negativity. It can be this black hole of keyboard warriors saying things they would never say to another person's face.
Here's to hoping she can surround herself with good people and continue her journey, whatever it may be.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Dominic Thiem are going to a third and deciding set. If Denis wins his match today, he'll play the winner of Tsitsipas and Thiem in the 3rd round.

Rain delay as Denis sits and sings along to Fitz and the Tantrums. Meanwhile, Thiem did beat Tsitsipas and will play the winner of Denis and Pablo.

Can we get some linespeople who can make an out call, that ball wasn't even close and it cost Denis the first set.

Denis just looks a little out of sorts today, just not as sharp as he was a couple of days ago. Cuevas deserves credit though, he's playing well.
