I hoped that was the case watching, and said so at the time, but they didn't look or act like it. I was hoping they'd get fired up over it, frankly. But they came out tremendously flat.

To be fair, that pre-game Stamps "celebration" was utterly cringey. I am not the least bit surprised if it fired up no one.
