Keep in mind that unless they were ripped into lossless WMAs, you'll be transcoding them (going from one compression scheme to a different one). That usually ends up with pretty poor sound. Re-ripping them would be preferable.. either that or use the a good MP3 encoder (LAME) and use a really high setting to try and mitigate the loss.
Or give it a try and see how it sounds first I guess, everyone is different and some aren't as picky as others.
