I don't think that was an actual NHL comment. I believe the guy who posted it was just making a joke about how the league is classifying players who aren't able to practice this week.

Some things to consider:
Deadmonton beats Chicago and makes the playoffs..
The COIL have a 6.25% chance of winning the cup (based on 1/16 chance of winning)
The Blackhawks Beat the *STINK*
Edmonton has a 12.5% chance at #1 overall again.
I will take Deadmonton making it into the "round of 16" and lose on the way instead of having twice the odds at another 1st overall.

^^^ Worst part is they changed the draft rules because of Edmonton, but somehow they are still benefitting from those changes.

Some insider can’t remember who said at the GMs meeting if edmonton were to win the lottery this year they will revamp the entire lottery. Could be a max of say 2 first overall picks in span of 5 years or something.

Yes, I can't wait for the third Edmonton draft lottery rule change. Unfortunately, the first two rule changes were a bit of a swing and a miss. We all know what Bettman was thinking, but he probably thought, from a legal standpoint, drafting a "no edmonton" lottery rule would be difficult to pass, but enough is enough.
The entire hockey world gathers around their TVs for the draft lottery just to think to themselves "no Edmonton, no Edmonton". You can see it in the player's eyes "no Edmonton, no Edmonton". No one wants to say it out loud for fear of tempting the ire of the hockey gods... What an enjoyable time the draft lottery would be if there was simply a rule: No Edmonton. In a 31 team league, drafting 4 #1 picks is 124 years worth of #1 picks with standard luck. So, they can lift the rule in 2144 and that would be more than fair.

Nah, f*** the Oilers. They don't deserve to be anywhere near the cup. I can handle them having better odds of another #1, because we all know they'd probably screw it up again like they always do. I hope the Hawks sweep them.

Staple's account is funny to fall because he's delusional. Did you know that they have 9 top 4 defensemen, that a goal during scrimmage means that a rookie is ready for the NHL, and the Oilers have no prospects that are going to fail?

That’s not just Staples, though, it is every member of the media in that city.

Read an article from Staples a few weeks ago that talked about how Chicago only has one great line, and that they'll essentially be easy pickings for the Oilers during the play-in round. Hmm...that sounds eerily familiar to another one line team that we all know.
The delusion is strong with those morons.

It's always been that way.
How the Edmonton media can type whilst waiving pompoms is one for the ages.

I can't see the Blackhawks beating the Oilers, for one, as a team they don't want to be in the playoffs(they voted no) two, as of now they don't have a goalie, three, their defense is actually worst than the Oilers defense.
I think the best case is going to come true, they beat Chicago in 5 and loose 4 straight the next round

Immediately reminds me of the staples article about their third line (cant even remember the combination) being the envy of the league, despite contribute none of the teams offense and playing reduced minutes in favor of Mc25min.
I think the logic being employed is if they pump the tires of everyone in the bottom 8 and farm enough that they'll turn into decent players, which they are not.
