Yup. As per that chart, registered/affiliated voters are essentially tied.
Throw in that chunk of independent etc voters and...
...not saying Biden has it, but I see that as a good sign. In Florida itself but as a proxy across the nation.

Would be happy to find out I have this backwards.

I read it as turnout TODAY. If the turnout for the Dems today is roughly equal to that if GOP, Biden will win based on him winning in early voting.

I thought I read that in Florida it is the opposite. The early mail-ins are considered red and the blue votes will come later. Not sure where I saw that though.

They also are not mentioning the break of independents and what they looks like. The independents will settle Florida, as usual, it just depends on the break. If the early vote is consistent with what they report, the election is won in the independent mail-in.

I love how into the pools you are, nice color commentary and breakdowns.

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the value for either party to follow extremely hard in each state and how things are going? Just to keep a monitor on the process? Why not let the chips fall as they may?

How many times is CNN going to refer to Indiana as the Vice President's home state and a reliably red state

From a New York Times article I just found..
"Florida
It counts fast. The early and mail votes will arrive first and will probably lean Democratic; don’t be surprised to see Joe Biden take a lead. Then the Election Day votes should flood in. We’ll see whether President Trump can keep it close before the more Republican Panhandle counties (which are in the Central time zone) come in at 8 p.m. Nearly all of the votes will be counted by that time, and it’ll be a slow trickle to the finish. Unless it’s a really close race, it should be called on election night."

Oh me too. I want to see histrionic, raging tweetstorms from Trump, Dinesh D'Souza, Laura Ingraham, and Ben Shapiro by the end of the night.

There are lots of paths to victory for Biden by flipping Trump states, which looks likely. Trump needs a repeat of last election as the likelihood of flipping a Clinton state is almost non-existent. Of course there are some premature calls being made for Biden (Wisconsin and Michigan) but the polling data is strong there. I'm more optimistic than I was yesterday, but I'm still very guarded. We need to see results that support the polling data before I thrown a shovel of dirt on any body at this moment.

Hey, I hear that. I've been too anxious with this one/preoccupied with BC election to really get into the nitty-gritty on this one, so I appreciate you adding some commentary.

I honestly don't get this. In Canada, this could result in jail time.
EDIT: MSNBC says they missed the Court deadline but they're actually doing it in over 200 of the locations.
